It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

makes you really fucking wonder about the functionality of bernardo's brain if he's honestly intent on going there. Theres no way i'd be committing to a 4-5 year deal at that shambles of a club given their financial situation.
he is going there to retire and collect his pension

I would say the league matter is quite overblown. I believe its much more down to the player. So we can agree to disagree on Leao.
Fair enough Leao could be a fantastic player I just think it would bd a massive gamble coming from Italy. But I also thought it would take alvarez months to get up to speed.

Probably one of the most heart-breaking thing to me, is the lack of reporting from almost all mainstream media of just how good our academy actually is. From the lucrative transfers this summer, to the titles that we have won, to actually having them on the bench, and playing, despite the mountains of cash that we have.

We have one of the best academies in the world, it's one of the driving forces behind our positive net spend. It's started to generate talent that has succeeded, and will succeed outside our CFG. We have loaned out so many of them, to so many leagues, and our scouting and openness is top notch.

If this was Liverpool, or Manchester United, they would not stop talking about it. I hope we get to see more of them this season.
Absolutely right. There’s very little mention of our huge academy successes simply because it’s positive news & excellent business.
The media agenda always has to be the rags. It’s been non stop for the last week - the only good thing is that there seems to be a temporary sea of change in that the content is to criticise United. However, the agenda is that the “best club in the world” (NOT) should not be in such a state.

They still can’t recognise that the rags are currently yesterday’s club & cannot attract even mediocre players anymore.
