Wolves fans were pretty buzzing with the fee for Jota if remember correctly. They felt Pedro Neto was a bigger talent.

Nkunku needs alot of space to work with, Neto could adjust to the low block much quicker i think.

Nkunku put up 35 goals and 18 assists in all comps last year and has 3 g and 1 a in 3 games already this year. There's no comparison between him and Neto at this time. Plus Neto is coming off a major knee injury. I like Neto as well but he's not remotely in Nkunku's class at this point. All things considered including age I'm taking Nkunku over Salah at this time, never mind Neto.

Neto is class and I'm surprised one of the bigger clubs haven't gone for him yet. He might well be more talented, but Jota had put up comparable numbers at Wolves then improved at Liverpool. In comparison to what has been quoted for Neves (£50m-£100m) it was an absolute steal for Jota - the firesale/FFP that you quoted must have been the driving factor.

Still, Neto would do really well at City.

I like him, he practically plays in the same space we have Haaland for right now as a 9. Neto is a left winger for that reason i'd take him. Unless we change formation, cant see where Nkunku fits or would want to be shuffled out wide

Nkunku could play up top on the right.
 
As a winger it would be Leao for me. He would dominate the fuck out of most PL back lines, his pace and strength make him a scary fucker. As a mid, i still think we should buy Paqueta this summer. We won’t unfortunately.

That’s because he plays off the main striker. Meaning he’s not even close to the same position as Haaland. Nkunku is good enough to play anywhere either way.

not saying he isnt. We dont play two upfront and hes not gonna be playing an 8. Happy to be wrong but dont see us going for him at all. Not a lack of talent or class just a case of where? He's smashing it as a 10 and we dont really use one.

He could easily play the more attacking 8 for us imo (assuming Kev isn’t playing or is playing slightly deeper). He could also play on either wing so effectively.

Half of our squad are 10s. Bernardo, de Bruyne, Foden, Grealish, Palmer, Gomez, Álvarez

Well OK. I think he can play on either side up top in a 4-3-3 which he has done throughout his youth career and as an 8 or 10. He is as versatile as he is effective. He is world class and has moved ahead of Griezmann for France. I would take him in a heartbeat and I'm pretty sure I'm not in the minority. Don't be surprised if Pep moves for him next Summer, especially if his 60 mil euro buyout is still valid.
