they ran more than us, they should be getting tired, HT comes well for them to breath.
problem is Vieira looking at this he will ask Palace next week to turn/press us as much as they can and they relax 7 days to do that, while we travel to Barca for a friendly which really can cost us vs Palace. we need to play EDS team. I doubt Barca will play and risk their best players either.

as for today, we just cannot get the hang of the game, passing is off, defending is all over the place, our attacks die down easily, midfield easily bypassed by the Newcastle runners.

Howe so far outfoxing Pep big time tactically, needs a big change at HT.

small worry is some of these games Pep opts for zero tactical changes.

Well that was a pile of shit.

Gundo and KDB are amazing midfielders when we have 70% possession and dominate. Once the opposition gets decent possession though, they effectively leave Rodri on his own as a one-man midfield. Get Bernie in the middle of the park and let’s try and get some control of the game.

The defence is all over the show. Stones should never have started and has been absolutely woeful.

Walker is the man you would want against ASM but has been turd. Also, him going into midfield against any side that does something other than put XI behind the ball isn’t going to work. He isn’t good enough on the ball. If Pep wants to persist with it today, get Gomez in the left and Cancelo on the right.

Even when he's been at his RB position he's been awful. His starting position is atrocious and a tell-tale sign of a player who has relied on his pace his whole career. Saint-Maximin has the beating of him every time. He needs to come off.
