Disappointingly poor half. Walker, Joau, Stones and Rodri so sloppy in posession.
We must be better 2nd half, surely.
Walkers been piss poor like his head is elsewhere. Trying to win that header coming off his man is fuckin awful defending results in their second.
Foden fails to square for a tap in again!
We score a second then and they would have wobbled, now we're up against it.

Sorry but I don’t believe that. Our tactics have massively played into their hands and unless Pep does something about that we are in for another half of the same.

That partnership can work if you have a False9 like Jesus who can help midfield..

When you have Haaland and also put KDB-Gundo in midfield against the teams who want to press and dominate with the ball, that's the complete disaster..

And it's not a news, we have already seen this during these years over and over again.. In 2019 / 2020 we had similar problems.. Aguero and KDB, Gundo and Rodri in midfield, Bernardo as a RW..

Did it work ? nope.. that was the shittiest season under Pep..

But somehow after 2 greatest seasons, we revert back to this shithole formation.. PLus let's consider that in 2019 both Gundo and KDB were under 30, now they are 30+ and have become more slower..

It's illogical why we play with such system against teams like Newcastle.. It can work and was working as well in 2019 against the teams who defend and only play to counter-attack, but against Wolves, against bigger / stronger teams we had the problems... Even Lyon made us suffer a lot, Fucking LYON..
 
We are behind in the game because our intensity at the back is lacking all of the defence have given the ball away from simple positions - I've never seen us give the ball away so cheaply, even Eddie is not finding his man. Kyle having a mare and seems frightened to death in engaging with any attacker.

Ultimately we have to be better with passing - they think they have this by pressing so if we get through the press we will win. A wake up call that you cannot stroll around in any game but they will be told and I expect a much better second half.

Finally Phil has to play the simple pass for a tap in - that's about 3 times he's not done it - what do they say, fool me once it's ok but again and again and it's stupidity!
 
We need to match their intensity second half and make sure we don’t concede another, playing the way we are I think we’ll crumble today the way we are playing.

If Walker and Cancelo stick to the actual positions it would help a lot of our problems

Struggling to pass out the back as they have both come inside

Nor really sure who should come off....I'd arguably take of Kev for Phillips...but can you take off Kev when we need a goal?
