I know there was no contact, but that was a two boot of the ground, studs up, stamp challenge from Martinez in the box.

One of the reasons you often don’t see contact with those is because the opposing player immediately decides “nope, not having any of that” and changes their movement to allow the challenging player to win the ball unopposed.

And when there is contact, it is usually nasty for the player on the end of them.

And for those reasons, I still think those sort of challenges, even with no contact, should be punished.
