Give these munts a good thrashing city
Nothing on the Premier League website or Twitter. Don’t think a dodgy caughtoffside screenshot written by “Darren Looney” counts as a reliable source.
Not talking specifically about football here but seems insane to me everything has to be cancelled, very sad that she's died as it's sad when anyone does and I'm not oblivious to how devoted she was to her job but I can't understand how people are so emotionally connected/affected by a person that have never met or spoken toNot loving the idea of postponing footy. Selfish I know, but life goes on.

Fortunately, it's not your decision. The PL will act respectfully, whether it's one round of games or more, it's their decision.
How long was the mourning period or however it's referred to?Like I said earlier it didn’t get cancelled in 1952 or 1936 so the precedent is there to play.
Cheers. The club. Was at what was supposed to be my final City Matters meeting when the news came through. They don't know anything for sure as yet but that's what they were saying.
The way society/media are reacting to this is bordering on the obsessive, like she was some all powerful GodWhen I was a kid I was on holiday in Spain when Franco died. All entertainment etc was banned as the country was forced into mourning and the holiday was ruined. I thought things like that would only happen under a dictatorship, yet here we are..
So, what you're saying is, I should sit at home and be solemn and miserable for the next ten days because a 96 year-old woman has died peacefully in her sleep? I take it I have to work during these ten days, can I still crack a joke and banter with my colleagues during this time? Or would that be disrespectful? Must I wear black for the next ten days? Can I watch Netflix and Disney Plus during this time or is that enjoyment also disrespectful? We will never see her like again. And the postponement of football this weekend is absolutely the correct thing. We get so much wrong in this country. The rightful mourning at the passing of the country’s head of state is something we should and will get right.
I think you’ll find he’s not.You are very much in the minority.
Spot on. Couldn't put it better myselfSo, what you're saying is, I should sit at home and be solemn and miserable for the next ten days because a 96 year-old woman has died peacefully in her sleep? I understand and fully respect that some will be sad and want to mourn, but don't then assume the whole country is one bleeding heart of anguish, because it isn't.
I lost my Grandfather and Grandmother earlier this year, they were my King and Queen. I was cut up but I didn't dwell and deprive myself of one of my greatest pleasures when that happened, so I sure as shit I'm not going to do it now.
You've got the media trying to convince us the nation is harrowed whilst simultaneously showing us footage of the same nation taking selfies and smiling outside Buckingham Palace. The whole thing is a piss take.
