People who need time to mourn more, or feel they couldn’t make it through a game without dissolving into tears can simply stay home. They have a choice. When it’s a blanket ban because of some dictat that you can’t do both day is mourning by force.Yeah but it means an awful lot to an awful lot of other people. It's not just about you guys and football and different programs on TV.
People want to mourn, simple really. We can do without 1 footy match surely.
Other sports went ahead and I haven’t read of any incidents of people being carted away overcome.
Professional or proscribed mourning isn’t on. It isn’t disrespectful to go to a game and if some think it is, who the fuck are they to tell me how I should feel and when? Utter bollocks.
And what about the countless people who had paid for travel and hotels to be told they can’t because some **** took that decision? Will the state reimburse them? If not, then why not?
