I guess my question mark over him is that we don’t really use box to box midfielders, so is he a square peg in a round hole, or would he excel in whatever system he played in and is that worth risking £100m on?
You could well be right and he is. I’m just not totally convinced yet.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Gundogan. He may well move for one last pay day, but where does he go? It might even hinge on whether we win the CL or not and also what Pep does.I don't have the answer! I thought Grealish would be much better for us than he has been, although he was clearly never a £100m player. But academy sales and the business we did this summer shows that even at that level it doesn't hurt us. It hasn't prevented us bringing in players in other positions. So for me it is worth the risk and finding out in practice!
With Gundogan likely to leave in the summer, Bernardo on Barca's radar and De Bruyne entering his twilight years he is a player I'm sure we are considering.
Their CEO Watzke has been outspoken about our club several times, not unlike Bayern management. It's probably safe to say that most German clubs do not like us, much like they don't like RB Leipzig or Hoffenheim.[citation needed]
They’ll take our money and promising youths though.Their CEO Watzke has been outspoken about our club several times, not unlike Bayern management. It's probably safe to say that most German clubs do not like us, much like they don't like RB Leipzig or Hoffenheim.

3rd? we've got 4 already.Do we need a third ex Dortmund player to win the cursed C.L ? Maybe....

Liverpool is a realistic destination for him. They need midfielders and he knows Klopp already. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Gundogan. He may well move for one last pay day, but where does he go? It might even hinge on whether we win the CL or not and also what Pep does.
Its not a video game. Theres no chance gundo goes to liverpool. Bellingham yes id say more likely than to usLiverpool is a realistic destination for him. They need midfielders and he knows Klopp already.
There is every chance. Its not a video game. Theres no chance gundo goes to liverpool. Bellingham yes id say more likely than to us
I doubt he’ll go to Liverpool. He’ll be 32 and won’t fancy being a dog of war, making space for Tront.Liverpool is a realistic destination for him. They need midfielders and he knows Klopp already.
It'll be a big fee, and for that reason I think it's unlikely he comes here.
Liverpool's need will be greater, and I feel we're probably smarting a little from the last £100m transfer we did.
At least we don't then have to listen to every commentator in the land calling him £100m man Bellingham. It'll be 'the next gerrard' and 'homegrown and wholesome jude' I'll bet.
Hope so, he is class, I just think we may shy away from the asking price if it goes north of a ton.Pep what the lad we will do all we can to get him but it probably only be if we sell Silva and we will get at least 60m for him so isn’t like we can’t afford it?! Plus the lad will have to want to come..
Watzke has mentioned us multiple times as everything that's wrong with football. He said we on the backs of Arab States and we are 'artificially pumped'. He said this in a rant against City and PSG "Then in some tent in the desert, the Sheikh of Qatar or the Emir or whatever he's called decides: I'm going to buy into football". Trust me, if there is an alternative, he will push for that. Why do Dortmund hate us?
