Probably not true but a report today indicating that Jack has told friends he won’t be at city next year. Not happy with the position he is expected to play. But then who could afford him even if true!

The goal he scored yesterday was the type of goal Sterling was scoring for us on a regular basis eg Kdb cross into the six yard box. If he continues to make these runs into the box both Haaland and himself will get these opportunities and in time his goal tally will increase.
A little bit different. Raz usually ran to the far post. Jack ran in front of a defender. But yeah I like those runs. Gundo is also a master of those little runs.

IMO it is rags or dipper media trying to undermine Pep & City. If Grealish wants to leave the most important thing will be making sure not get injury and what we saw yesterday suggests the opposite.

Willing him to do well long term but a irking feeling it may be bigger than that hope, the way he is vilified from the majority outside of city concerns me if I’m being honest; the mental strain of that could potentially always make his form ‘stop/start’…

At times Saturday I thought i was watching Robbie savage, not because of the football but the crowd reactions; he was literally assaulted by Collins yet he remained the pantomime dame….

And people may say it was the midlands rivalry but it’s 99% of opposing teams/fans, Christ on a bike, Athletico even bought into the narrative..

Anyway, here’s hoping he has the thick skin he’ll require as that hatred isn’t going anywhere!

He wasn’t particularly great. I thought the whole team was quite poor for long stretches today, including Jack. We were arguably as bad as we were at Villa but our opposition were very poor and we turned it on three times with fantastic play. Outside that Rodri was the only player who at some point didn’t either smash the ball out of play, to the opposition or lose it needlessly.

Grealish was better today but (I’ll never not have a but with anyone) there’s a way to go yet.
He was so much more effective in this game, excellent to see. I agree with your comments mate.
Let's hope Jack can play like this and cement his place. I agree we're a way from our best but fantastic result away from home..

Great performance that from Mr G.
It's not rocket science but getting shots off in the 6 yard box or back to about the penalty spot between the posts is the optimal position for goal scoring.
All of Phil, Bernie, Gundog, Raz and Gabby were all on c10+ shots each from the 6 yard box last season and plenty of goals between them. Mahrez the only exception but he does get there sometimes.
Meanwhile Jack's goal on Saturday was only the 2nd time since he has been with us that he has made a shot in the box. The last one was the goal he scored when it bounced off him at home early-season to Norwich last year.
His numbers were poor at Villa as well - rarely in the 6 yard box.

Interesting. Maybe he knows if we really go for Leao that he will sit on the bench? Also I can understand him - not everyone wants to change his playstyle or lose his freedom within games.

It's from footballerinsider247.com and the report's source is "sources."

Nothing in the article looks like anything other than a load of bollocks written off the back of what has been said online by both City supporters and rival fans.

If you have a scroll through their homepage it's a painful mix of clickbait and shit writing.

This account running with it now. If it gathers more pace I'd guess Grealish or his reps will have to come out and deny this? Cos that's a biggie

Jack has a pretty big social media platform and is informal with it too. You’d like to hope he’d come out and deny it, even if it’s just laughing it off as bullshit

Yea he's put thing straight before (recently when an account tried to make out he was arguing with Pep on the touchline)

I think his reaction at Leeds where he lapped it up and was laughing showed he has thick skin. He enjoys that side of things I think. For me, it was more concerning how he reacted during the Dortmund game where he was clearly apologetic and frustrated. Pep instantly recognised he needed a public confidence boost and said exactly what was needed pre-match against Wolves and then Jack delivered. More to come still, and in fact the whole team are being very sloppy at times which is worrying. Hopefully the international break doesn't lead to injuries and we can reset and improve over the next run of games.

Pre world cup it is
Some players are over sensitive some are sloppy some are a bit laid back and some are too much forcing it...

I won't worry that much....

A lot of people get caught into.. omg its on twitter, it must be true.

RELAX.. Think about it yourself and the facts are:

1. City aren't stupid!

2. Unless he asks to leave and Villa offer the same 100 mil back, he's not going anywhere!

3. If its not Villa who'll he go to? PSG? Madrid? Barca? Chelsea?

Who'll shell out the money for him?

Answer:

Odds are he stays put for his contract even if he's not happy in Manchester (just like Bernardo).

Doesn't strike me as a character who would want to leave in a way that could be construed as giving up or not being good enough. I think he's here to learn and prove himself he's not going to want to leave until he's done that.

Every player needs something a little different from the manager. I think Jack needs to be loved. Challenged, yes. Held to high standards, yes. But I think he needs that backing and trust that Pep showed in him after Dortmund.
