That’s where exactly where they want us at the bottom of food chain looking up for any scraps they offer and expect thanks in return , in how they looked after us in a recession.unfortunately fools will fall for it.They are utterly clueless with no interest in the health of the nation or its citizens. Public services being decimated and at the same time the economy being trashed. No coherent plan for anything. No approach that will work. The opposition should be mopping the floor with them right now.
Rees-Smug today called people opposing fracking "Luddites" - the man cos-playing a Victorian era middle manager who likes to be seen with no computer on his desk at work thinks others are stuck in the past - and this....

The red wall in Lancashire won’t be happy with fracking back on the agenda and interest rate rises almost inevitable, particularly as the cost of living is so high people are being squeezed by this government
Wentworth Woodhouse is the "ancestral home" (where her ancestors lived). She doesn't own it. A London lawyer bought it for a million...Next ... he'll be objecting to the Government having to pay compensation for damage to homes and business caused by fracking
(After his wife was successfully awarded £7,800,000 by the Tories for repairs to her stately home - Wentworth Woodhouse for damage caused by mining - despite the fact that her family had made a fortune from mining on their land)

Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg’s wife’s ancestral home benefits from £7.6m state rescue
NOVEMBER 27, 2016 by: Henry Mance and Andy Bounds It was billed as an act of generosity — a decision that would “save” a “key piece of northern heritage” for the nation. But Philip Hammond’s commit…tlio.org.uk

It is worth saving - it makes Downton look like a semi. (Manchester Town Hall repairs are nearly half a billion, and repairing the Houses of Parliament will cost £20bn!) I didn't know the family had made a fortune from mining but the story is that when Labour nationalised the mines, the NCB wanted to mine under the stately home and when it emerged they were worried about causing damage, Manny Shinwell as the coal minister said everyone else in the area suffered mining subsidence so why shouldn't rich people in stately homes. One wing has sunk about eleven feet!
Rees-Smug didn't call them Luddites. He said opposition to fracking is "Ludditry"; he's so bloody posh he needs his own word for it, rather than "Luddism" which is ok for the likes of us.
It all doesn’t stack up what they are doing, cuts in national insurance and tax when we are borrowing more than ever. I imagine the spending on public services such as the NHS and police will have a wrecking ball taking too it. Osborne’s austerity will look like a tea party compared to this.
Thank goodness. Services have been on the decline In the Netherlands for a number of years.Renationalise the railways? No, allow someone else to make a profit (or try to).
Dutch Railways pulling out of running trains in England (and some bus routes in London) because they're no longer making enough money to subsidise fares in Holland!
"UK: Dutch state passenger operator NS has announced a management buy-out of its Abellio UK rail and bus business. New company Transport UK Group Ltd will take over the East Midlands Railway, West Midlands Trains, Greater Anglia and Merseyrail passenger rail businesses and more than 50 London bus routes by the end of the year.
"The announcement came as NS presented its half-yearly results on August 23. NS said it changed its international strategy in 2018 to require foreign activities to contribute to the interests of Dutch travellers, and with Abellio UK no longer of strategic importance it decided to withdraw from the UK to focus on services within, to and from the Netherlands."
