Just found this quote,
In 2016, he was asked by Channel 4 about EU-derived employment rights, including "paid holiday, paid rest breaks, rights for time off if you’ve got kids and your kids are unwell, protection from discrimination when you’re pregnant.”

He responded: “I don’t support all these employment rights that come from Europe.”

Now that is just pure Dickensian. It's just evil. My god, the sooner these cunts are gone the better.
He has openly said that paid holidays and the 48hr cap on working weeks should be gone and employers should get the necessary hrs out of staff they need.

**** would have us on 6 day weeks at 12hrs a day like a sweatshop economy

I suppose you'll be wanting Christmas day off? Well make sure you're in all the earlier the day after.

Thick as fuck, a service based economy where there is less leisure time, ultimately lower wages and without the skills to rebuild our industries properly

What could possibly go wrong.

Another week where posters who can’t stand her, watch her, tell us all how much of a Tory she is and promise to never watch her again.

See you all next Sunday ;-)

Only saw it this morning but don’t mind the format, two guests and three commentators, but it only works if the quality of the commentators is good. I thought O’Grady and Walker were okay but Lyons tied himself in knots by the end. It might be an idea to settle on three recurring guests, but the BBC is often hell bent on offering quantity over quality.

I actually think Jo Coburn is better than Kuenssberg at holding the room, the latter has never really done it and still seems to be distracted listening to her earpiece for guidance, but perhaps she’ll improve as she becomes more familiar with the role.

His political philosophy hasn't matured since he was child. Has always been a ****.

Just saw a bit of the Kwarteng interview and a panel of two business leaders who welcomed the “fiscal statement” and someone from the TUC who failed to make a decent case against the specific proposal to make very rich people richer. Switched over after that.

The owner of Iceland was talking more sence for a business leader than many you see, but still against the national minimum wage of £10.90 as he said he couldn't afford the extra £ per staff member, which I doubt.

Incidently Manchester has adopted it and all businesses signed up to the living wage scheme will implement it including my work place, as a l8ne manager by staff are now on about a poind less than me, but I still back them getting it

We're becoming América. It's where a major cross section of society want to be from what I've seen.

The English dream will be something the next generation will strive for. Not me, I'm thankful for the workers rights I have enjoyed during my working lifetime , I fear for the next generation but they're again they won't know what they've lost.

And those that voted Brexit and the removal of laws to protect the worker.... they can wallow in what they've created.

another fantasist gets airtime

How this idiot has any credibility after his ‘what is likely to happen post Brexit’ predictions pre- vote is baffling. He is just a Tory mouthpiece and to present him on the show as anything resembling an independent expert is misleading.
He’s a fully paid up member of the Tory golf club.
Watching the show and also dipping into the clips on the Russian State TV debates posted in the excellent ‘War in Ukraine‘ thread on BM (which are truly fantastical and frightening in their bias and untruths) it’s hard to tell the difference In their approach. Feed the gammons and they shall be reassured.

saw him waffling on something else last night too - I switched over - saw he was being given a platform to spout shite and kept on channel surfing. It was probably the BBC as he seems to be their new fave shill

Truss talking absolute shite and ecen ToryK cannot defend her, still letting her talk nonsense though.

It’s obvious as ever that Truss has had the questions for a few days in advance. None of the pauses heard on the Radio. Former Tory employee and big Tory supporter interviews her boss effectively. This interview demonstrates the gap between the BBC and CNN.

Value for money on taxes paid = scrap public services and laws to sack the worker if they demand holidays and pay rises
