The Conservative Party

The good news is the pound seems to have stabilised.
The bad news is that it's stabilised because investors are expecting a huge interest rate hike to make it attractive to them.
I'm afraid the average person's extra £170 per year due to the cut in the basic rate of tax will not only need to cover an extra £700 per year in energy, but also an additional £2500 per year in mortgage costs. That's just on average and some people are going to be hit a lot harder.
And the cunts have frozen the threshold you start paying tax for next year. So the 19p reduction will be cancelled out anyway.

Yep, that's going to have an even bigger effect on people's wellbeing when many public services get cut to save the money that will be used to service the debt.

If I was being cynical I would say it's all part of a plan to kill off the non-economically active who are dependent on social security, and encourage anyone with a few quid to opt for private healthcare and education so the state funded services can be run down even more.

a plan which completely fails when you think about it if those that are left are paying so much in housing costs, utility costs and food and transport costs that they have no extra disposable income to spend and boost the economy or to save for their old age - it really is just a doomsday cult now.

I'd genuinely love to know why anyone would want to vote for these at the next election.

I'm not sure what their policies are trying to achieve on, anything?

If Labour can't win the next general election, they never will.

The majority who are economically active will serve their purpose generating wealth for the rich and will be destitute at the end of their working lives if nothing changes. The good news is that this path the government is on is totally unsustainable and things will have to change whether they like it or not. There will be a money grab for the rich in the short term followed by a sensible government getting us back on track hopefully. What's unknown is how much damage they can do in the meantime to add to the damage already done.

Aaahh……but it will all be sorted when mr. Odey and his cohort of philanthropists ride into town to distribute their largesse and save us all with the veritable cascade of cash.
Strangely I was expecting something like this after brexit.
strangely…..never happened.

US News media giving Truss a kicking. Absolutely shitting the Tory economic plan and potential knock on effects on them.

Clearly you're ok and don't give a fuck about anyone else.
You made a reasonable post, and then ruined it with that. That is absolutely not true. I have made no such comment or even implied it. In fact quite the opposite, I have said that I fully understand that people are struggling (you'd have to be pretty thick not to understand that) and that the government should have done more to help them.

So please stop making ludicrous assumptions.

Maybe you’d be taken more seriously if you didn’t appear to be in full out attack mode in every post you make.

It’s kind of sad that politics has come to this. People treat it like football now where their ‘side’ can do no wrong.
Yet another one. I've been very critical of the government and lots of things they've done. It's such a lefty echo-chamber in here, anyone (and it seems there is only me) who says anything to support the government about anything they have done, is immediately hounded upon.

I apologise for that. It's my natural (although unfortunate) response to the abuse I get on here for posting anything that doesn't align with the masses thinking. I'm routinely called a ****, a selfish **** and god knows what else. And all for saying I support *some* conservative ideology.

Maybe if you stopped crying and calling everybody ‘leftie’, you’d get a decent debate going. Instead, you choose to be provocative and therefore garner the responses you get.

Only logical that if you act like a ****, you’ll get a cunts response ;-)

I'd like to believe what you say is true, and perhaps it is of some on here. But certainly not of many.
