The Conservative Party

But they will .... because Socialism
When was the last time socialism caused you a problem? This country is basically conservative (small c). Whenever heavy left wing activist raise their heads the country turns against them, they are unelectable. See Foot and Corben - Blair saw this and moved the party sideways its unfortunate that he lost his way and was rightly kicked out.

We all knew a Truss government would be a disaster but she’s even exceeded my wildest expectations. What a shitshow.

The good news is she has moved on the narrative from how will I heat my home for the foreseeable to how will I actually keep a roof over my head. What an absolute disaster this lot are, when Parliament gets back after the conference season votes of no confidence should go in from all sides of the house if these MPs have a responsibility to the electorate.

Everything that benefits you and yours is a result of Socialist policies .... from Libraries to annual holidays and weekends.... and the NHS ... But the majority in the UK are quite happy to denounce socialism whilst benefiting from it . All the Tories try and do is take these benefits from you.

Totally agree. It's been dismal. We are doubtless reaping the rewards of Brexit, in the short term at least. Whether there will be sunny uplands ahead who knows. I voted Remain.

But your point is valid. The mini budget didn't "crash" sterling - It was crashed already.
Are we supposed to ignore the last three years of your pro-Brexit comments after you changed from a Remainer to an ardent Brexiteer to demonstrate your unequivocal support for the fat fraud Johnson?

You probably need to re-evaluate your political outlook and you might discover it's not a good idea to support a political party like you support a football team, and not defend every shit decision they make whilst blaming someone else for any problems.

BoE QE in action. Ironic that Truss vowed to reduce/eliminate QE during her leadership campaign and three weeks in she has forced the BoE to step up QE.

head in sand moment: something is odd about all this, like the BoE are being set up for a fail that they are desperately trying to avoid, even stating they'll be out at the very first moment they can but JP Morgan predicting its gov action that will allow that situation to occur. i.e. gov choice. In a way i dont want to believe leaders of a G7 country can be so insanely rampantly mental with so many people's futures, but in a way i also do want to believe it, because if they aren't as mental/stupid as this episode seems to indicate, then what the fuck are they lining up.....
They simply want a total unfettered free-market economy where we are just economic production drones to be moved about as they see fit to create maximum profits for the wealthy to stash in their offshore tax-fiddles.
Brexit was clearly the first stage for doing away with workers‘ rights and protections without interference from the meddling EU and this continues unabated, as does relaxation of tax and money laundering regs.
The ludicrous volume ‘Britannia unchained‘ and the opinions contained in it were a bit of a clue.

Does anyone know what the consequences of this are?
I can only imagine they’re quite bad but not as bad as not doing it.

Brexit, for me, was to deregulate the UK, allowing certain elements to take advantage, and control.
