It‘s no coincidence that he didn’t play much for Yorkshire and they go down.Calling @Alan Harper's Tash :-)
I live in Yorkshire (thankfully not Leeds), Bill but always love seeing the White Rose cock it up, even if is because they never get to play their best players.Ha ha. Gives Lanky the runners up place too. Not a bad day all round.
Although I've lived up here for more than 30 years I've never lost my love for Lancashire cricket.
I worked in Leeds for 3 yrs in the late 80's, living near Halifax at the time. Always enjoyed standing my ground at the bar when cricket came into the conversation.I live in Yorkshire (thankfully not Leeds), Bill but always love seeing the White Rose cock it up, even if is because they never get to play their best players.
Absolutely love the BBC coverage of the County Championship games. From the chilly days of April through to the long shadows of September, it’s a constant source of pleasure.I listen to a lot of local BBC cricket coverage, very old fashioned but a great accompaniment to long drives. Before I switched to the end of Warwicks v Yorks the Derbyshire commentator said he didn't think they'd lost a single (whole) day of county cricket all of 2022, despite the real summer being given to limited overs. That tells you what a great summer we've had.
Calling @ancoats!
