also dead animals could be mistaken as human remains too, so at the moment nothing been said other than bones have been found, just let's hope it's Keith and not somebody else

A bit disturbing that statement, it sounds like they’re trying to cool expectations. That Daily Mail article seemed to have a lot of details reported as fact which may not be true. When Edwards wrote his theory about who Jack the Ripper was, it was also first reported in the DM. That opinion has largely been debunked since, so maybe the police are unhappy about what’s been said so far.

I seem to recall that the article said that after he initially found the remains and photographed them he then covered them back over, perhaps the police are now being so forensically meticulous that they've not yet uncovered them again.

My missus is from Hyde, she's weird.
From the front door of my first house in Mottram it was no more than a ten minute walk to Shipman's house, Brady and Hindley's house and the house where Cregan murdered the two WPC's.
Quite weird that three of the most notorious crime storys in modern history all occurred in such close proximity to each other.
How silly is that to cover them back up ? The police should have taken the guy with them to point out the area
I believe it was early Sept when he initially found the remains and the delay in reporting them is because he was getting expert analysis done on soil samples and the photos he took.
(Plus possibly also securing book, tv deals and DM serialisation rights if you want to be a bit cynical).
It is all starting to sound a bit odd now, apparently he didn't even spot the partial skull at the time when he was digging, yet some expert looking at the photos he took was able to spot it and identify it as clearly belonging to a child aged around 12.

Greed first and foremost if he was thinking about making money out of it
but now I fear for any good news coming from this now, did he find the bones in the first place or was it just hearsay to promote he own profile, the jack the ripper story was old news that he revamped and made a name for himself
