Starting to sound like a bit strange this now. Media beginning to say remains ‘interpreted’ as human. Seems like this isn’t going to go the way people had hoped. Have to feel for the brother who also rightly called this out in the beginning. Seriously hope this wasn’t about media attention from those who announced the find.

Can't add anything others haven't said about the latest news.....I was thinking to myself last night that this bloke's credibility would rightly be in the bin if he turns out to have been on the wind up/on the make with this, but at the same time it would be a shame as he seems to be the only person actively looking.....whether it's for genuine reasons or not.

It doesnt need to be interpreted and Im not sure what the term means in this context, which is why I was initially sceptical but kept my counsel for a few days amid the obvious hope and optimism.
There is a forensic service provider that you simply send photos of found bones to and they will tell you if human or not within about an hour in working hours.
Commonly used, bones are found all the time and are 99% animal

From the front door of my first house in Mottram it was no more than a ten minute walk to Shipman's house, Brady and Hindley's house and the house where Cregan murdered the two WPC's.

Quite weird that three of the most notorious crime storys in modern history all occurred in such close proximity to each other.

Seems that way, which is extremely sad. He sounds very much like a fantasist, but if I were the police I’d be asking questions about his motives, and those of that expert who got involved. He’s got plenty of businesses so can pay for all the wasted effort if he’s up to mischief.

Keith was one of my best pals at school.We both went to Mansfield Street Primary in C-on-M and I saw him a couple of days before he disappeared.I still think about him often and hope this is the event that brings some closure.

So sorry mate, was a child myself when this happened and was terrified by it, often thought about it down the years and prayed for the family to get some kind of closure.

Well that's just bizarre.
His reasons for filling it back in and not immediately informing the police are unclear, but surely he would have marked the spot?.. And even if he didn't mark it he must have a pretty accurate idea of where it was and a freshly filled in hole wouldn't be hard to identify after only a few weeks.

Everyone is covering it. The police say there is no evidence of human remains or clothing. They are doing some more tests on soil but there is certainly no skull.
The guy seems to have had a huge amount of free publicity about his Jack the Ripper book but that's it. 100k ? Wasted ?
