Thought we were poor again. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect to go to Anfield and dominate, but we seemed scared in possession again, barely able to string 3 passes together until after the 75th minute, something that wasn't evident the last couple of seasons in Europe. Team were overawed. A spineless performance which was just as I expected.
Gio is the problem. His tactics are all wrong and the players don’t seem to be comfortable with them.

Remember when Leipzig were a poor team when we played them last season, that was the only way we got a result, this all conquering Celtic would batter them etc etc.

Now they are 11th in the Bundesliga, and were a few centimetres away from taking 5 off Celtic.

We certainly aren't any better right now, but it helps put a bit of respect on our run last season.

By the way, what a player that Nkunku is, if Chelsea get him they've won a watch.

They also said Dortmund were a poor side when we knocked them out last season yet they finished 2nd in the Bundesliga and finished above Leverkusen who beat Celtic 4-0 at Parkhead in the same competition.

Indeed. Our results in Europe exceeded my expectations last season, was genuinely delighted with them.

Celtic fans seemed to go into this campaign with a massive level of cockiness, because they beat us to the league and we beat good teams last season that means they were going to rock into Europe and blow teams away. They just seemed to dismiss all their own results in Europe the past 5 years or more.

Downplay what ? A Rangers fan once got arrested at Annan because he was in possession of alcohol. Front page story in the Scottish press. They even made up false stories about our players singing sectarian songs. And their source for this bollocks ……. none other than an online troll calling himself Wullie Wanker.
Remember during ‘ the ten in a row ‘ season Celtic fans were rioting outside Parkhead and trying to attack their own team bus, the Scottish media ignored it. Every single time.

Cannot understand why scottish fans bring Ireland into their squabbles. Even more bizzare as very few if any especially in the south gives a toss about either of them or scottish fooball.
