We did that 3 years ago , they loved it. We are down london for a harry potter west end show on the saturdayA bit further out but the Harry Potter place is excellent, your kids look old enough to appreciate it
I already suggested cottaging a few pages back.Kew Gardens

With reference to my upcoming visit to London can you tell me for reference how much the Sunday lunch would cost approximately, per person these days ?Don’t know mate, they’re your kids ;)
It’s a pretty cool place to spend a few hours, there’s quite a bit to see and there’s decent food available. It does have a touristy feel now but there’s still some great spots .
It’s not too far either from St Pancras and the hotel which features in Harry Potter . They might recognise that and there’s a great Sunday Lunch available in the bar there .
We used to love going in the Gilbert Scott cocktail bar but they’ve closed it now and reopened it as something else . I’d expect it to be equally as good .
tuppence a bag by all accounts.Get Boris bikes and cycle round Hyde park, can hire a boat out to row in Serpentine, stop at few cafes for rest, walk part of it, feed the birds. There's a playground for kids, venture into Kensington palace gardens. If going to Camden, go to Little Venice and get boat along canals from there to Camden. Madam Tussauds, London dungeon
More help needed…
Trains (avanti) are on strike that day so need to drive down as far as poss before dumping car and getting tube in. Where would we be suggesting to drive to please blues
Was thinking watford
Crewe is avanti and appears greyed out on that day (22nd)You can get to London by various routes with one change over and avoid Avanti. Piccadilly to Sheffield, Doncaster, Leeds or Crewe and then onto London from any of those places.
