First team through with Dortmund-Sevilla's draw.

A draw in Dortmund secure us top spot on H2H.

We could take it easy though and rest players in the last 2 games. We'll want top spot though.

The way the groups are panning out, we could still get a tough side even if we win our group.

As it stands:

Guaranteed 1st Place
Chelsea
Manchester City
Bayern Munich
FC Porto
Napoli
Tottenham Hotspur
Real Madrid

Guaranteed 2nd Place
Borussia Dortmund
Inter
Club Brugge
Eintracht Frankfurt
Liverpool
RB Leipzig

Qualified, Place Undecided
Paris Saint-Germain
Benfica

Teams still in contention for Champions League knockouts
1 of: AC Milan or FC Salzburg

Europa League Knockouts (3rd)
Sevilla
Barcelona
Bayer Leverkusen
Ajax
Sporting CP
Shakhtar Donetsk

Out/Could get Europa League
Dinamo Zagreb
Juventus
Maccabi Haifa

Teams that are out (4th)
Celtic
FC Copenhagen
Rangers
Viktoria Plzen
Atletico Madrid
Marseille

Yep 1-1 Dortmund/ Sevilla means City are through with 10 points.

Copenhagen and Sevilla can only get 8 if they win their next 2 games.

But we need 1 more win to win the group!

We will not take it easy, we want to win the group.

Goodo.

That's two games Palmer and other lads get to test themselves in CL action whilst our big boys get a breather.

Still not over. We should advance 1st. As things are now:

Advance 1st: Porto/Bayer/Atl, Inter/Barca, Salzburg/ Milan, Leipzig, Benfica
Advance 2nd: Napoli, Bayern, Madrid, PSG, Brugges (assuming both Tottenham and Chelsea top their groups).

The drop in quality is huge between both groups.

Hopefully the bed wetters have been allowed to stay up late enough to see that Dortmund are no better off after tonight's results

We will win the group when we go over there and beat them in a few weeks
Or draw, or lose by one goal so long as we score 1

That top line could easy read Atletico, Barca, Milan and all of a sudden finishing 1st wouldn't look much better.

I think avoiding Bayern and Real is more important though, so I agree.
