I’m not sure that’s trueWhy? Murder rates are higher in those that do have it, that’s why I said judging by the US it isn’t a deterrent.

Sunaks going to get it, wouldn’t be surprised if Mordaunt pulls out and Johnson doesn’t even bother declaring.
Well done, mate. Was thinking today that while this shower sit in their piss stained grerks, scratching their nadgers, the country has gone from a disaster to a crisis, or vice-versus.F..king disgraceful isn’t it. We are in the middle of a cost of living crisis and this shower of absolute sh1te are arguing about who will be the next boss. This has been going on now for 3 months and the country is on it’s knees and this lot are squabbling.
Thats exactly what it is. The Old Etononians will be back in power by the end of the month, and they are making a point about it. WankersWell done, mate. Being a cynical bastard I’d say that this is planned.
You know the difference between opinion and citation? If you answer any of my future comments with citation…you’ll be ignored.
Because it’s about the most moronic rhetorical device, assuming you might grace that with that description
Which comment should I re-read?I think you should read my comment again…your response is unfortunately a strawman arguing against something I didn’t say
I’m happy to debate stuff but you’re a closed book.In a healthy democracy, people are quite happy to entertain differences of views. Do you want everyone to think like you?
I’m not sure that’s true
Speculation
I think I should make my position clear on capital punishment.
I’m in favour of bringing it back for the following:
1. Murder of anyone serving in the armed forces, police and other emergency services.
2. Anyone who kills a child.
That’s it
Which one?So anyway, this Conservative leadership election…
Wouldn't expect anyone with over 100 votes to pull out. This is their last chance at being PM so would expect them to hang in there until voted outIt’s an opinion based on 100 mps publicly declaring for him and that’s without about 50 that voted for him last time having said anything yet.
If anyone else gets above 100 they’ll still be nowhere near him and get pressure to pull out before it goes to members votes.

There is no such thing as unfunded tax cuts. There is only unfunded public spending. As for a treasury mandarin, no one gives a fuck. Except treasury mandarins, of course.
Frankly, the state is bloated and needs to be cut back substantially. I’d start with firing half of the admin and clerical staff in the NHS. I worked in NHS trusts for 14 man years and they are a leech on the system.
Taxes need to be cut (maybe not now given the economic situation but eventually, yes) and the state needs to be smallet.
We thankfully don't have too long to see what unfolds. They’d be under immense pressure from the party, they don’t want it to go to the members. If there’s, say, an 80 mp difference between first and second and the second wins a members vote, the parliamentary party is still completely screwed.
Admittedly they’re pretty screwed whatever they choose but that would be the last thing they’d want.
