Stones still out according to Pep.
Stones still out according to Pep.
Some daft Italian did that with GazBaz and look how that worked out, Gareth took the bastard flack hey ho ;-)I really don’t think that message Walker is posted is the message of a player who thinks he’s missing the World Cup.
And Phillips has his surgery when he did precisely so he wouldn’t miss it.
Until confirmed otherwise I would assume both are going to Qatar.
I also think both are players Southgate would take even if they were only supposed to be fit to play the knockouts, like Maguire in Euro 2020.
So some cricket come back then, he would fit in, in the one day team.Seems KP is back in training
And back training? That’s great news if he is.spoke to kalvin today, he said his shoulder was feeling fine
So true , a good world cup could really benefit his time with us, he needs to get fit, keep fit and force his way into this team.I wouldn't get too excited about Phillips, it was a shoulder injury, he could in theory have been out on a pitch doing fitness stuff alone a week if not days after surgery, it's no real indication of his progress.
Him going to the world cup is possibly the only instance where it might actually benefit us. Assuming his surgery was successful, he needs matches having barely played in 12 months, some minutes at the world cup could be a nice little mini pre-season for him, he's going to be needed in the new year, Rodri can't play every game.
why?The arrogance…
Use the World Cup, playing for England, as his pre-season for City’s second half after Christmas!
Bit raggish that!
I'm a fan of the idea. Mind you I'm Irish and we decided to boycott this world cup.The arrogance…

I’ll let that stand as Exhibit 1.why?
He has hardly had any football in the last year, he needs minutes to get back up to speed.
It's going to be difficult for him at his best to get a regular place in our side.
Exhibit 1a, but you do get points for self deprecating humor, on behalf of an entire nation! ;-)I'm a fan of the idea. Mind you I'm Irish and we decided to boycott this world cup.
If that's what your dreams are like you should lay off the cheese later in the day.View attachment 59064
Exhibit 2, playing alongside this fella after training with the likes of Rodri, KDB, Bernardo and Foden must seem like a dream!
