Rishi Sunak

He is trying to unite the party. He can't govern without doing that. Good luck to him, he is going to need it. As someone said after the scenes last Wednesday at that vote, it's like vermin in a sack (or something similar).

Uniting the party shouldn't mean having to put someone back into the same job 6 days after they resigned for breaking the ministerial code. If that's what the party needs to hold itself together then it isnt fit to govern. Clearly, much in the same way as those who have become before, he thinks there should be zero accountability within his government.

I rarely swear on here but they can go and fuck themselves they haven't got the humility to admit they royally fucked everything up and now who voted for who doesn't cut it. They are fucking laughing in our faces the greedy shits playing stupid games but its us who will pay for it I wouldn't piss on one of them if they were on fire!!!

I don't disagree. I'm just seeing and understanding why he is doing what he is doing.

The usual media buddies will back him to the hilt.

Starmer will face a Corbynesque media avalanche to get the Tories back in the polls.

Braverman’s first job will be to make cannabis class a instead of legalising it and the dibble will be running around catching occasional and medical users and clogging up the courts to make themselves look effective

He has handed Starmer an open goal for tomorrow. Starmer brings up Braverman's resignation and reinstatement and her sharing documents she couldn't with all and sundry and as for an inquiry.

Sunak cannot back her behaviour but he can hardly sack her a day after reinstating her so already boxed in.

Why would anyone think the WEF doesn't exist? It's got its own website and Wikipedia page.
People who are not unhinged just recognise it as a lobby group like many others, rather than part of a globalist conspiracy that runs the world.
The poster I was quoting was lumping the WEF in with the "New World Order" in terms of being nothing but the fervoured imaginings of the tinfoil hat conspiriloon brigade, I'm surprised he didn't throw in a mention of flat earthers as well just for good measure.

I suppose in a way it must be quite nice having such naivety and wide eyed innocence to really believe that the WEF is nothing but a meek and benign "lobby group" that holds no sway or influence or power over politicians and government policy making around the globe, but if thinking that while drinking your warm milk before bed helps you to sleep well at night then whatever works for you.

Blame the crooks not the government on this one.

If the government had put in stringent checks a lot of ordinary people would have been claiming social security instead due to the time it would have taken to process. To compare it to a project deadline at work is hardly in the same universe let alone ballpark.

Think hmrc can be rightly criticised for their efforts in trying to recoup it though. Sure I read they’ve recognised that and significantly upped the resource.
