Rishi Sunak

The poster I was quoting was lumping the WEF in with the "New World Order" in terms of being nothing but the fervoured imaginings of the tinfoil hat conspiriloon brigade, I'm surprised he didn't throw in a mention of flat earthers as well just for good measure.

I suppose in a way it must be quite nice having such naivety and wide eyed innocence to really believe that the WEF is nothing but a meek and benign "lobby group" that holds no sway or influence or power over politicians and government policy making around the globe, but if thinking that while drinking your warm milk before bed helps you to sleep well at night then whatever works for you.
Yes the WEF is influential. If you think it has actual power over government decisions then you really do need to get measured up for a tin foil hat if you haven’t got one already.

The Braverman appointment will look to the average punter like the old Johnson regime - 'the normal rules of justice, decency and fairness don't apply to us '.
Disastrous decision for a rookie PM who seemed to promise a new start.
After her stabbing both Truss and Johnson in the back it would have been poetic justice if Sunak had done the same to her. She’s toxic and he’s made a big mistake giving her the Home Secretary job again. Presumably he has calculated it will keep the RW loons quiet, but I reckon it’s doomed to failure.

Cant say I was inspired by his speech today.

I am happy to give the guy a fair crack of the whip but i will be surprised if he makes a success of this.

They were all at the Treasury, apparently working together, but clearly there was no love lost. He’ll be defending an 11,626 majority when it comes, so enjoy him while you can. ;-)

He won't defend that - nobody likes him here - we never see him. I think he was quite happy that 7 new housing estates have gone up since he was elected...... lots of lovely new Tory voters. Then he was part of the Govt that knackered up their mortgages and pensions............... great move

We we could have a GE and have another out of touch Millionaire of the Red persuasion in charge (Starmer is worth £7.7m) - have we ever had a leader who was not an "out of touch millionaire" - even the lefts darling Corbyn is worth £3m, Sturgeon up in Scotland is £1.5m.

Whoever we have leading will always be an out of touch millionaire, could be worse we could be USA and would change to billionaire
We accept the shite put before us and it's a very low bar, why? Sunak is appalling as was Johnson. We just say ok, it's the choice we have, why? So long as the Muppets accept this we will get shit like sunak, so long as a left wing person doesn't get in, thats all that matters, feeble wankers
