That looks good to me, very well balanced.

Why would we risk first team players in a meaningless game ?
Don't think we will play anyone who is at risk from overuse injuries and excessive play. But footballers need match time to stay sharp.
I would expect a mixture of first teamers who have had fewer minutes and youngsters. Injuries are a risk in training as well as matches and are an unavoidable risk.
Overuse injuries are avoidable.

bit of a worry we have no one to rotate Rodri with. we will need him in top fitness and top form in the business end of the season but he is being overused now.
getting angry at Phillips he was signed for 40m+ to replace Dinho's rotational role, but so far he cannot even do that. and have a bad feeling if he goes to the WC and gets another shoulder injury we will not see him up until February maybe.

none of KDB, Haaland, Bernardo, Cancelo, Rodri, Foden should play a minute in this game imo.
Palmer, Lewis hopefully do get to start...

You are getting angry at Phillips, why ?

Are you suggesting he is not injured , or deliberately dislocating his shoulder ?

Perhaps he hoodwinked the club into signing him.

Perhaps you could explain your anger ?

Stones or akanji defensive mid for me.

We'll obviously rotate a lot for this, but doubt we'll see as many changes as some have suggested. Even though the group is dead, a win is worth £2.5m which is not insignificant, and I can't see Guardiola just cobbling together an XI that will almost certainly lose.

Maybe something like this:

Ortega
Lewis
Dias
Ake
Gomez
Gundogan
Foden
Grealish
Palmer
Mahrez
Alvarez

Agreed on all counts. I’d be happy with that line up too, with the exception maybe of Gundo, who I think would also welcome a night off. That said, if there is one player intelligent enough to “manage his efforts” across a match, it’d be Ilkay.

I disagree with almost certainly lose, I think that side would probably win
