Dreadful first half from England, slow, no movement, midfield woeful, lucky to still be in the game. Mount, Sterling and Trippier have been awful, Saka not much better. The team that he has put out should be doing much better so it clearly how they have been told to approach the game. We have been over run almost everywhere.

If both teams had finished all of their big chances we’d be down 1-3 right now.

Trippier is incredibly fortunate not to be in the book, Stones is being left to do most of the defending, Mount is an absolute waste of a starting spot when we aren’t steamrolling the opposition, and I have no idea why Southgate chose to shackle arguably to best player he put out to start the match (is he 20 yet?).

Southgate continues to baffle and frustrate in equal measure.
