I'm fully behind him. Good point from him regarding most goals in the group stages. Proven record getting us deep on tournaments and we have a deep squad full of talent.

Looking at that goal I was thinking exactly the same.
It’s simple pass and move, but with him it’s usually the perfect weight of pass and puts it to feet and his intent to get into the box indicates to the receiver exactly what he wants him to do.
A simple pass into the corner of the goal. He doesn’t panic.
It really is just good control and making right decisions.
 
Shearer's punditry at its best, glorify the game-destroying defence and draw some triangles and pentagons on the screen, I don't mind him as a person, but how did he become top-level pundit is beyond me!
