Pele.
Maradona for me. Pele second, Cruyff third.Pele.
Hope someone is keeping an eye on Ronaldo tonight.
I worry for that boy
Should Mbappé not get injured, he will probably be breaking that record in the next World CupWhat I found amusing was the list at the end which showed all the top World Cup goalscorers. His name wasn't even there. Mbappe has only been in two and made the list.
Hopefully that's the end of comparisons with the Portuguese show pony. Messi is head and shoulders above any player I've seen and I'm nearly 60.
I just asked my dad this , his instant reply was Pele
its hard to judge players that you never really saw play
but Pele must have been some player if he was better than Messi
Amen to thatThere may be a Messi, Pele, Maradona debate but the Ronaldo or Messi debate has been put to bed
It's desperate how anyone can suggest he isn't the greatest of all time. He's been the best player in the world for almost two decades. Nobody else has sustained the same levels of greatness for that length of time. His individual moments of brilliance; the solo goals, the mazy dribbles, are inexhaustible; you could find a day's worth of footage on YouTube. His passing ability is equal to that of the greatest playmakers. His first touch is unparalleled. His attitude on and off the pitch has been impeccable. On top of all that, he's won everything there is to win, culminating in him finally inspiring his national team to football's most coveted prize.
The Greatest. It's an honour to say I've watched him from start to finish.
