I remember turning to my mate a few years back as we hit injury time. Dire nil nil but at least Cahill hasn't got the winner this time as Dunney sliced a clearance to concede a corner. The seats all sprang up as we stood in unison to hit the exit as he ran towards the away support.

I used to like and respect Everton years ago. My first ever game Boxing Day 1968 was against them but the last few years I have a growing dislike for them and some of the shithouses that wear the shirt,Gordon,Davies,Richarlison to name a few

Agree, we were going to try and make it as difficult as possible which we did. I knew what was coming from us but expected a loss anyway.

Although frustrating for you, if you had shown up and played your own game with the quality you have then you win that.

You were unlucky at times, but also very pedestrian at times. Move the ball quickly v us and we struggle.

We only had ourselves to blame same as Brentford,lack of pace and urgency along with delayed substitutions .Groundhog day
 
I watched the last 20 mins switching over from the Newcastle/Leeds game and I agree there was a the lack of urgency until Foden came on.
Everton (and anybody else in the same situation) is always going to play like they did, defend in numbers, slow the game down, throw in some dark arts, why wouldn't you? They are never going to go toe to toe with you.

How many times did Haaland touch the ball?
 
Everton fans were very quiet today for the most part. I got the feeling they are just sick of it all. Can’t be much fun watching that style. Awful.

Not as many times as the EFC defence 'touched' him!

Note: for 'touch' read 'clattered'!

Now, now, bm, the first one would be ample reward for that travesty of 'football' they served up today. Burnley would show infinitely more ambition than another member of The Worldy One Shot Wonders!

I've been a fair advocate of EFC on this forum but it stops today. Time wasting beyond the 'nth' degree, sitting on the turf when we establish some momentum and getting the game stopped which, I have to say, the ref obliged all afternoon, displaying a speed of walking of the pitch when subbed that would be outpaced by any amputee on a zimmer frame. And amidst all this highly disreputable 'plan' we have a ref who exercised less control over the game than a dead fox would at a school crossing.
 
They targeted Haaland from the off and tried to injure him in the first half. Tarkowski showed his rag inner self on numerous occasions. Their goal was a one off. More fifty shades of than Demari.
