His movements were an obvious action (running with it, a feint and looked about to shoot) which impacted on Ederson and the defenders - Akanji is tracking Rashford rather than the path of the ball and Ederson stopped & set for a Rashford shot. Both would have been in a better position to either play the ball or make an attempt to play the ball if Rashford had stopped running or wasn't involved at all.
