Read the rule. He could have run circles around it, it still wouldn't have been offside.
The only thing that maybe, maybe, makes it offside is I think he almost goes to kick it with his left. Only noticed it from one angle, but if he does and Ederson spots it, then he goes to save the wrong shot

Hes ran on to the ball and hovered over it. He is directly influencing the behaviour of the defenders and the keeper. He is offside.

If you're offside and chase the ball which draws defenders to you the play is offside, it's as simple as that. If Rashford would have peeled off and isolated Fernandes City could have defended and it would have been fine. Everybody knows and understands the rule they just chose to cheat, there is no other reasonable explanation.

This guy can't be a blue .... what game was he watching

Pep has been brilliant for us but it's been stale for a while now, we need change
By "stale" do you mean second in the league with more goals scored than anyone else, a better goal difference than anyone else etc.

Or by "stale" do you mean you're an incredibly fickle and entitled sounding City fan?

I just sit in disbelief at how we have this incredible goal scoring talent up front, and yet with the great pep guardiola we still cannot manage to come up with a system that utilizes him properly. Imagine the goal tally he'd have if he had plety of balls to run onto...

Haaland is feeding off scraps at best. Where are the type of balls the lad thrives on? The system we have is perfectly at odds with the type of balls Haaland thrives off. The second goal against west ham at the start of the season springs to mind as a perfect example of Haaland service. I have a feeling we dont play quick balls through to Haaland because this would contravene pep's system of control and mitigating risk.

Its fucked.
