I'm so puzzled by the offside rule now. I'm watching Brighton vs LFC. March made a run, didn't touch the ball but was deemed as offside, he was offside. I don't know the difference between that and Rashford

He was shite today.on the edge of his own area turning circles like a fucking corkscrew and then giving a neutral,non-effective pass.If his missus wants to move abroad and lie on a sun-bed all day drinking pina colladas then come out and say so,then piss off and let us get on with planning for the future.
Absolutely spot on
If he and Cancelo as well don’t want to be here bin them both off and replace them with better, more committed players who will be up for it!

We can blame the officials all we want but we are dropping points regularly now and against teams that are potential relegation fodder. We have bought the best out and out most wanted number 9 on the planet but don’t change or adapt our game or tactics to suit him. We have a World Cup winning striker on the bench but refuse to bring him on when we are chasing the game and desperately need a goal. That is on Pep and Pep 100% alone. His stubbornness is starting to cost us. It is clear the squad are starting to get disgruntled. Something has to change and quickly. Spurs next week and they have a habit of giving us more than a game. If we drop points to them at home then a top 4 spot is under serious threat.
Haalands looking like he’s playing for the wrong team. I mean if KDB isn’t playing well haaland doesn’t get a sniff. That can’t be right.

Walker was the one that I was most frustrated with today. Just would not pass the ball forward to the runner.

Obviously he has been immense as a superfast defender but when he is part of the attack we falter imo. I was hoping for Lewis to come on 2nd half (even if that meant we were vulnerable on the counter).

Here’s the angle we needed to see: Ederson is completely affected by Rashford, Fernandes has the shot he can because of Rashford affecting Ederson’s position.

Clearly offside.

It goes back further than that also. When that ball is initally played to rashford, Ederson will make a yes/no decision on whether to come out and clear the ball. As it looks to him like Rashford is running onto the ball (so in Rashfords control technically even if he hasnt touched it), he stays in his box (because rashford is interfering with play and effecting the outcome). The fact he doesnt touch it does not make any difference as he has gained an advantage for his team from an offside position.

Its an embarrassment to the game….

Simple question:

From the picture above, does Ederson stop where he is there, or does he continue to advance on the ball and clear it, IF he thinks Rashford isn’t about to shoot?

It’s not even a serious question, because he obviously would have done.

Then, ask yourself IF Rashford was not between Akanji and the ball, could Akanji have been quicker IF Fernandes was the only player advancing on the ball?

That is TWO key defenders on the play who are affected by Rashford’s movements with the ball…whether he touches it or not.

Ridiculous OVERTURNING of a clear and obvious offside.

As Pep said, you have to understand where you are playing. Then, look at the Ref. It’s getting tiresome.
In addition, Rashford doesn't touch the ball, because he knows he's offside. So why did he continue he run, knowing he's offside, if he didn't expect to get some advantage? He knew he was Influencing play.

Why give linemen flags at all it’s pointless, running up and down waving them about when the decision in the end is subjective! Ruined the fucking game.
