Premier League Games 21/22/23 Jan '23

If we want to win it, there is literally no room for error. Two games against Arsenal are pivotal, we need to win both those games imo if we want another PL trophy in our cabinet.

Grow a pair.
They aren’t on for 100 points either. You need to be ahead at this stage now level. Absolutely no chance
I'm not being defeatist or going all "boo-hoo our precious title :(", just admiring the ability of a more than worthy opponent. We've won 4 titles in 5 seasons, we've won 6 PL titles in total. The fact we've won literally any trophy at all is more than I ever expected as a kid. Finishing top 4 and having a good cup run is fine by me.

And of course anything can happen. Arsenal could lose every game between now and May. All their players could get scurvy. But they're currently on track for 100 points and are very much on track to finish with at least 90. That's a massive total to get. Sometimes it's fine to just say "Well done, mate" to a rival.

Did they check Zinchenko there out of curiosity? Looked closer to being off than the bloke who actually scored.

League will hinge on the games against Arsenal, we need to be winning both
The angle I saw on television he certainly looked offside.

what helps Arteta is he will shit on FA cup and EL imo, rightly so, he doesnt have a squad big enough to go long in those comps and he shits all over those if he can get the PL title.

in the league after 19 matches to have 50 points thats incredible, that's 100 points if he can keep that point avg, but even he cannot thats easily 90+ points.

our only chance imo if we become extremely consistent alongside beating them home + away too and they do get dragged into a bad form with some completely unexpected dropped points like our 1 point at home vs Brentford+Everton out of 6.

but that momentum, intensity, desire they have now, they cut these kind of teams apart easily.

Doesn't matter, they could lose points anywhere and there's an awful long way to go. not sure why people are flapping. The pressure could get to them later on, it's happened so many times before.
Correct….We have struggled with Southampton in some of our best years. You never know where Arsenal might slip up

It’s all well and good having the two games against them to reduce the deficit but the way they’re playing there’s as much chance of it increasing than not.

Need to hope their levels drop.

Not worried. And frankly embarrassed to see some of the comments in here. We've been in this situation multiple times already. We were 8 points behind United, f***ing Fergie's United, with six games left and we still won the league. We've beaten one of, if not the best Liverpool sides the country has seen four of the last five seasons. We've broken record after record, have the best manager in the world, and have a culture of success forged through hardship and moments like this. Our squad has done it over and over and over again.

It's ARSENAL. And there's literally an entire half a season to play. Newcastle can take points off them. Chelsea can take points off them. Liverpool can take points off them. F***ing Villa can take points off them. Oh and there's the little fact that they have to play us twice and we've literally beaten them in EVERY single league game home and away since 2017.

Jesus Christ.
The way this Arsenal side play, they are relentless the same way our 100 pts side was or the dippers when they won it. The problem is we need to beat them twice and we are still two pints behind. We basically need a team that drew two and lost one in 19 games to experience total collapse - and somehow we need to revert to the form of 100pts side for the rest of the season.

Tbf Arsenal aren’t going to go away.

They looked hungry as fuck today and a last minute winner always does wonders for confidence and belief.

Long long way to go yet but we have a small margin for error now.

Yes but they may be too far ahead. They looked formidable in that last 25 mins and Zinchenko and Saka were wonderful to watch.
Still it shows just what an unbelievable decision the Rashford offside was. Robbed us of 3 valuable points and a derby win

we are still very much in the right place, we have the quality and got a couple of Strikers that are finishers

Half the season left, takes 2 games to change things. Relaxed right now, maybe the best team win.
