Ticket Loyalty Points

to get a ticket for Wigan away in 99 playoffs you had to have 5 away stubs from that season to qualify which created carnage! following season for first 2 away games at Fulham & Bolton you had to have 10 away stubs from previous season then as season progressed for Crewe away you had to have a stub from Ipswich away and for Blackburn away you had to have Wolves away, it changed to tracked away games the following season for first PL game at Charlton and started at 15 away then dropped every day , loyalty points were brought in following season
Watched that Wigan away on what looked like a portable telly on the Maine Road pitch.

tickets for the Wigan away game went on sale at 5pm at Maine Road, I was in queue but my mate took over as I worked 2-10, mate rang me at 7 saying they all sold out and it was a free for all for tickets and although they gave out raffle numbers they still didn't get tickets, I left work and drove and slept outside Springfield park in my car , got 3rd in queue trying to convince i was a Wigan fan as i never had proof I lived in Wigan they told me no! I drove back to Maine Road and got tickets for the screening then back to work for my next 2-10 shift.

The 200 points puts me up a bracket for Arsenal and Forest both on sale on Monday. I should be ok but for some it will definitely be the difference between getting one and missing out.

My 200 points for each of the 3 Cup schemes I'm in were added at the start of the season along with 380 for my platinum SC. Attended cup game points are added after you've been to the match.

wish i could back pay all the years of not having platinum... doesn't really seem fair that a childs loyalty points are affected by an adults decision. id be on 20k now instead of near 10... no point taking it out now as ill never catch up.

18-25 doesnt work as the few that get through load up friends and family and then divvy them out between whoever. It should be one per log in instead.

You've been very lucky (or are incorrect) cup scheme points are added after we exit the competition.

You are right. Been looking at last seasons added points. Just the 380 SC card points put on up to now plus attended home cup games.

Yeah the failure to add the carabao cup points could mean I miss out on a forest ticket ( should be OK for arsenal) I've got 21,475. Just the 25 short of 21.5k which would guarantee me one :(

Carabao cup scheme points appear to have been added this morning .... so i now pass the next points threshold and seems a few more on here will too

Quite surprised they did this during a sales window.
Got mine yesterday
Could upset a couple that might also miss out now

Absolute stupidity doing it this week but nothing surprises me these days with the ticket office. It seems the one thing that the club appears to happy to not sort out.

I got my ticket as I lived in Wigan then - so no problem. Once inside the ground I had a word with a steward who walked me around to the away end and let me in. It was a mudbank - literally! We were sliding all over the place trying to stay on our feet. What a genuine shit stadium was Springfield Park. Absolutely shocking. Great days though!

I don't think that's right mate.

For the last twenty years or so of Maine Road, we had five tiers of season ticket holder: you were a 1st year, 2nd year, 3r year, 4th year or a Regular. For away games with demand like that Wigan one which had enormous demand, tickets went down the tiers in order, usually a day for each. It was only when that was exhaused that they would sell to people with ticket stubs. That also happened for Wembley that year.

You should have just gone to Springfield Park and come in 5 minutes into the game when a load booted the ramshackle fence behind us to bits and steamed onto the terrace.

The tickets were so crap you could run off copies on a black and white photocopier.
