Terrible game. We’re playing like we’re four or five up and just running the clock down.

Can’t really understand why we’re playing so slow and why we only ever seem to pass backwards, save for Ortega lumping it up for Haaland to chase. But it’s piss poor entertainment and boring to watch, and Guardiola needs to start earning his corn as this is so far below the required standard it’s ridiculous.

Our entire team apart from Haaland are slow and their style of play is slow.

Worst midfield we had in years. Gundogan is completely ineffective, Rodri is tidy but needs players near him, KDB has gone off a cliff. No real options, Foden injured and Bernardo has pretty much downed tools. Guardiola has to find some inspiration and energy. Being bested by Arsenals second string.

Spot on. Criminal that we are still relying on Gundogan.

Love the guy and he's had a great time at City, but he's been struggling for 2 years, albeit been unplayable in patches.

Same with Kev, we need more from him than assists. He's not controlling games anymore, and opposition don't seem scared of him anymore.

Someone on here laughably told me that pace wouldn't make a difference in our wide men, and yet Trossard has skinned our full back 2 or 3 times in that half

We are crying out for pace in the front 6, we don't do anything quickly. To say that the only way to keep control is by having players like Gundogan, Mahrez, Grealish is a joke, there's numerous top players who are quick and keep the ball well

This squad needs a fairly big overhaul

We play this shit almost every fucking week, stop acting like we're throwing our toys out the pram after one bad game, this is a seriously negative trend that's been going on for a long time.

We are round of 16 UCL, second at the best league of the world going against the peaders right now. There is less than 5 teams better in the world right now than us. You call that shit? Then I hope you hold yourself to those standards.

Anyway this is a pretty even match so far agains a top 3 team in Europe right now

Same issues. No spark in the midfield....little creativity anywhere
Kdb continues to be an issue. He has gge magic in the boots still but without the ball we are carrying him...mahrez and grealish offering very little in terms of possession or attacking threat.
We gave gone from a team who dominated possession and had creative players to one who are just about hanging on and even if we win this we need to start to realise that this us a team that is probably in transition.

Normally you would have foden. Bernardo both buzzing around....both out of form and that means Grealish and mahrez rightfully start BUT the levels drop off with those 2 and kdb is just not the same player

That for me is the big difference. Arsenal are missing some players, but really, this isnt our best 11 either. Maybe on form but not when everyone is firing. Foden and bernardo would normally make a huge difference.
