It's a shame, on his day he was world class but his form has gone downhill rapidly. Good on Pep for getting rid. It sends a message to any other sulking fuckers, toe the line or you're gone.
Done it before at other clubs and did it with Hart.
Top managers don't shy away from the biggest/hardest decisions.

Same agent, however.

Difference being, Bernie accepts City's stance and loves the fans.

I'm not sure he will be that bothered, Bernie knows the times are a changing at City and we are going big time this summer.

£300m big!
Trouble is TH, that gets you 3 players, the market has completely gone.

I’m beginning to think the game time that Rico has been getting is more about punishing Cancelo rather than the young lad been ready to take over from the Portuguese.
You need to stop thinking
Pep doesn’t pick a player to punish another he deals with them as he sees fit Cancelo has been disruptive and was told to find an out his agent sorted it for him

The truth of the loan deal:

Cancelo hasn’t been loaned for just falling out of favour as I’m sure we’re all aware. The truth of the matter is he squared up to pep in training and actually threw a ball at him from point blank range. Luckily it only hit the catalans stomach and was able to keep his composure and deescalate the situation before an improbable brawl broke out. Ruben and Phil were quick to corner Cancelo and have a serious go at him. It’s clear there’s no going back now, Cancelo has indefinitely played his last game for Manchester City. For better or worse, only time will tell.
Woooaaah

Take the blinkers off, he's playing better, and most likely (we don't see that) training better than Jao is. If there's been trouble from him, then it's best he goes, his contribution this season has largely been zero.
He looks like a mard-arsed ****, and he's played like a mard-arsed twat this season, and he's a defensive liability. We've got plenty of other creative players so good riddance to bad rubbish. Fuck him!

I won't miss Cancelo if he goes. He's one of the most inconsistent players I've seen at City since Adebayor. One game he's world class and the next he's not bothered about defending. He was brought in to challenge Walker and he's never come close to Walker's consistency and ability. He battled Zinchenko for left back and never really made the position his own. Now he can't even shift a 17/18 year old youth player. Wasn't he dropped from the Portugal squad in the WC as well?

I've been consistent in my view on him - great player when he wants to be, a liability when he isn't. We can do better than him.

He won't play for us again, simple as that. I just hope the club now go and bring in what we've needed for around 5 years, maybe more, A PROPER LEFT BACK.

There's probably an element of truth to it, if Cancelo and Walker were in top form and the good books then maybe Rico wouldn't be getting as many minutes, but he wouldn't be the first or last squad player to seize the moment. Realistically, every academy player is waiting for an injury, a collapse in form, a sale or a falling out with the manager. It's not a bad thing. Fair play to Rico for taking his chance.

Hope so . When he is good he is a pleasure to watch but he never wins for us and is a luxury player who normally has a good 15-20 games a season and the rest are shit . Got a gut feeling Laporte is another who is on borrowed time aswell. Glad cancelo is going but if will weaken us for the remainder of the season as we will not buy a left back .
It would only weaken us if Cancelo could actually be arsed. If he isn’t then I don’t see the difference. He is a just a body on the pitch. His performance at Chelsea in the first half was rank. I couldn’t believe a professional footballer could continually overhit crosses like he did that day. We only got better when he went off.

Summed up my feelings why I’m not bothered he’s gone.

Loved watching Cancelo at his best, a complete joy to watch that could have redefined what an attacking fullback could do.

We all know he is a pretty weak defender, but what I loved about him at his best was his reading of the game, he didn’t really need to make tackles most of the time as he was already in position.

However this season his head has gone, I genuinely wince when I think back to the game at Anfield where rather than head it or put his foot through thier long hoof forward, he tried to bring it down and control it with Salah right on top of him… and it lost the game.

The Southampton game for me was as bad as it’s been from a player in over a decade, it was a 0/10 and it was clear from then he was done here.

A shame it’s ended this way, but it also somehow feels inevitable.

Sending Cancelo without replacement will ruin our current season..

Except Walker we don't have decent fullback left for upcoming playoffs and big games in PL..
Wake up you ............ he's trouble!
Fuck him off. We're well rid of the mard-arsed twat. We don't play with a proper left back - he isn't a left back. He's a creative midfielder more than anything. We've got plenty of creative players to replace a lazy, disruptive player who gives us at best 2 out of 5 decent performances - and is a liability whenever we're up against the big boys.... or Fulham!

Believe it when I see it. Club seem more interested in their net spend and reputation than chucking money around like Chelsea. Hope your right as we will need to spend that amount to remain competitive for the next few years
