Won’t be easy this. Must 3 points and even more important is a good performance from the entire team.

3 points a must.
3 consecutive league games away from home after this one. 2 tough cup ties as well. Not looking good is it?

As frustrating as the game against Spurs was I am expecting City to be up for this game and hoping for a win.

Not sure I feel like rushing for 1 and a half hours over to Manchester to watch a strange team lineup with players who should be in their positions sat on the bench and then those that are on the pitch play slow lethargic football with very few dangerous attacks and give the opposition a goal start. Deeply disappointed and wondering what on earth is going on.
We’ve had far tougher times than we’re having now. Yeah, the line ups are mental and we aren’t anywhere the team we can be, but we’ve still got lots to play for this season even though the title isn’t looking hopeful.

Bloody Sunday game when we don’t even play midweek. Loada shite that, but we need to start thinking of United finishing above us more than we do catching Arsenal so some breathing space would be nice.

If Foden isn't having his hair styled or isn't away fishing he has to start.
I'm at a loss to pick a starting eleven at the minute, because quite honestly you could easily drop 7 or 8 of that lot today but you know the back ups won't improve it one bit. Fwiw: Ederson, Lewis, Dias, Laporte, Ake, Rodri, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Grealish, Foden, Haaland

how we didnt beat this Villa away from home from 1-0 earlier the season, then they fired Gerrard not too long after that.

same with Lampard's Everton who nicked a point from Etihad, then he got fired like 3 games later.

we need to grab all points from now on at home, regardless who the opponent is. we only have left 4 big games left at home, Newcastle, Pool, Chelsea and Arsenal and 4 vs the dross (Villa, Leeds, WHU, Leicester)
maybe 1 draw will be allowed, maybe not if we want to win PL. I think we would struggle big time vs NEwcastle, and also Pool no matter everybody is beating Klopp these days and Arsenal can go either way.

Villa match is also our last home game this month. after that we have Arsenal away, N. Forest away, Leipzig away, Burnemouth away and Bristol City away for FA cup. 5 more away games after this. pretty brutal.

We’re crying out for a player that hugs the byline all game. I saw a graph of our average positions tonight and all of our players were in the centre of the pitch. Pep has always said he will never change his philosophy, but he’s done it with this team. Not one player apart from Foden is capable of going on the outside. I’d even consider playing Gomez on the left with Grealish central.

Ederson

Walker Dias Laporte Ake

Rodri

KDB Bernardo

Foden Haaland Grealish

If everyone is fit that is

bernardo can affect the game from there.....
foden ads drive and gule and can connect with KDB

Dias adds the leadership we are missing.

get walker overlapping again
And hope the old KDB shows up

This season feels like it is fading out already. The only thing we have a very realistic chance of winning is the Cup. We need a big result too set the tone. Maybe 5-0 or 6-0. Don't see it happening though. Pep isn't in good form this season. Too much chopping and changing and unsettling tactics in big games.

That's the team I'd go with if KDB is fit enough to play - looked knackered after about 10 mins today. If not, Gundogan.
