PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

We were found guilty by UEFA, and CAS said no we weren't.
I fully expect the 'Independent' commission appointed by the EPL (chosen by the Red Shirts) to find us guilty. Let's see what happens when we are back in front of the CAS.

Not sure why other clubs are being bought up in this thread. People realise that spending lots of money doesn't automatically mean breaches, right? FFP isn't just 'you can't spend more than £200m in a season'.

2 emails were presented in der Spiegel in a way that sort of made it look like one if you squinted, but CAS ruled it didn't have any effect on the meaning or reading of them.

Everyone talking about the UEFA case as proof that the club will defeat these charges needs to read the report or Stefan Borson's analysis, because it's pretty clear that if the club had lost on the time-barring issue we would have lost at CAS, and there's no time limit for the PL.
Pretty sure that's not true, as I recall there was no indication the time-barred stuff wouldn't have been dismissed as well as the rest.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a lot of shit to throw ourselves for when the time was right. This league and the other clubs in it won’t be squeaky clean that’s for sure.

The club could get its titles stripped, relegated to league 2, have a 5 year transfer ban, and some of you would still claim they're just biding their time to unleash a trove of kompromat at the right time.

Come on…. Image rights lol

T.19.
Particulars of any Image Contract Payment in respect of the Player shall be set out in the contract with his Club.
T.20.
No Image Contract or other agreement entered into by a Club may vary or affect the rights and obligations set out in clause 4 of Form 15 (Standard Player’s Contract) to the extent that such rights and obligations relate to rights granted to the League.

Can anyone remember if when the news came out that UEFA had banned us whether that galvanised us or had a negative effect on the pitch? Wondering what to expect now as the reaction from inside the club- is it another excuse to continue this poor form or could it be motivation? The champions league becomes v. Important this year if we get deducted points or relegated we won’t be seeing Europe for a few years probably.
Shortly after UEFA announced they'd banned us we went to the Bernabeu and won 2-1 against Real Madrid in the first leg of the CL last 16

So before FFP was even introduced in 2011?
If you recall, after seeing our interim accounts in March 2013, UEFA/G14 shifted the original monitoring period back by 12 months without telling City, hence we went from being £3m inside FFP to £3m outside, meaning a squad reduction & a £50m per season net transfer cap for three seasons, & a £50m fine.

If memory serves me right, two of the main FFP issues were related to the Carlos Tevez transfer & his 2009/10 wages, & the payoff method for Mancini & his team.

This accusation is particularly galling as it's comes SEVEN DAYS after Chelsea have just spunked £604m on players! WTF! :-/
