Media thread 2022/23

This season we have already encountered dippers and Chelsea fans throwing coins, piss and other object at out fans.

The additional hatred being whipped up by the media will only fuel more violence from opposition supporters.

Pisses me off that so called "journalists" can publicly write BS behind the safety of a keyboard without facing any form of accountability.

Hmmmm ...... We don't really know what the actual offences are yet do we? Only which rules they say we breached in which year. We can guess, but there may be only a handful of minor offences which account for all the breaches.

It's a bit early to be saying if we are found guilty of all charges we should be kicked out of the league.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

City wouldn't appoint a £50/80k a day brief if they think the charges / allegations are minor. They're clearly not

Put it this way... If the charges don't stick, City should absolutely wipe the floor with the PL and sections of the media. There would be no reason whatsoever for the City Group not to.

That said, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to do it if we 'win'.

Football at the 'elite' level stinks across the board.

This is a serious business and investment, which has been up against years and years of institutional racism and bias, of course we would recruit the best possible advisers to help us against the real cheats and bullies.

No idea what your on about, total nonsense.
That's because you're the one who has been brainwashed by ridiculous 'agendas' and conspiracy theories.

There's a fine line between creative accounting and fraud. If you think multi billion value businesses like City don't tiptoe around that line, you're naive.

Every club / big business will chance crossing that line in the hope they won't get caught. It's risk that maximises profit.

The City Group could always offer City for sale to the rags prospective buyers at a lower value and leave them stranded

I think Mansour & Khaldoon have genuinely fallen in love with us mate to be honest and wouldnt sell anyway? The rags would benefit of the new owner investment rule as well so could splurge like Todd did at the Chavs?

I think you'll find that the club hierarchy has a very different view to yours. Argument along those lines would be ridiculously hard to actually prove.

It's a fan created scenario - basically, fans 'playing the race card' on behalf of owners who don't appear to see the need to do so.

exactly.
If you want win on the pitch you buy the best players you can…same off it.

Mansour has been to Manchester once.

He loves his country, money, and racehorses.

Khaldoon is a man doing his job as the face of the City Group. A group designed to maximise investment around the world.

They're not 'in love' with us. They're profiteers.

It’s simpler than that. You questioned City employing an expensive lawyer, I think such an appointment is absolutely right and inevitable

& what ridiculous agenda do I believe in?

I don’t believe there is a fine line between creative accounting & fraud. I think there is a big fucking line & you make a decision to go beyond it.

I think they would sell if they receive a verdict that is unacceptable. Remember City owners are Royalty and it would be unthinkable for them to be guilty of such serious allegations.
They would also pull the 10billion dollar investment it has in the UK.
In my opinion of course

That didn’t last long.

City are almost off the back pages now.

It’s all about United being bought by the Qatari’s(and becoming an oil club, and something their fans apparently despise?)

Don’t worry, City will be back on the back pages on Friday when Pep does his press conference. And on Sunday when City play Villa.
