Just seen Jason Burt (telegragh) lauding Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's 'investment' in Wrexham FC and the surrounding area. Says it's fantastic and has re-built a club that has sooooo much history.

This was moments after he slagged off City and questioned our spending!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do they actually listen to themselves??????

It is the conference is fantastic no ffp not var can’t wait till we playing in that league..

Agreed. It's inevitable that someone is going to get a hiding at some point. Not much of a fan of violence, but the club is as much to blame if anything happens as the journalist himself or the fans who do it. The club really doesn't get what it means to be a football fan in England. Someone should put them right on that.
The press park up at the CFA and walk to The Etihad....a warm Mancunian welcome seems appropriate.

Be rude not to !!

Dan Roan just can't help himself:

"If cheating is proven it would be harmful to the dominant force in the English game, to its Abu Dhabi owners, to the concept of state-owned clubs and the whole idea this is a fair competition'

Number 1 Dan, you'd know all.about fair competition' due to the 'unique way' your employer's are funded.

Number 2 Dan, our owner is a member of the royal family using his own money. You can't lump individuals into a collective by association. That's like me saying your male, you work for the BBC, you must be a nonce!

SSN reporting a number of PL clubs want City kicked out the league if found guilty.
I can’t find anywhere who these PL clubs are though.

To be fair, if evidence supports the charges and it becomes obvious that the owners are guilty, it's only reasonable to expect the club to be expelled from the PL.

Furthermore, we would almost certainly be refused entry into the Football League if the current owners retained control of the club.

It's no surprise that 'a number' of PL clubs would want City kicked out of the league if guilty. I would expect all 18 to want that to happen.

To be quite honest, if we are actually found to have cheated to the alleged extent (or admit to having done so), I would expect most decent City fans would want the owners to leave the club and be kicked out of football.

For the good name of Manchester City Football Club, we can only hope that the owners of the City Group are the decent, honourable, and honest people that Pep Guardiola believes them to be.

The press box should be re-located to blocks 110 and 109. I'm pretty sure Roan would then take a different stance going forward.

Infuriates me that he can get away with such smears whilst we pay his f*cking wage. In a civil manner I questioned something he asked in a press conference which wasn't true on twitter and he just blocked me. So the c*nt can't face accountability to the public despite them paying his wage.

I don't agree with this at all.

First of all, I don't think any amount of fiddling the books in any way deserves a punishment as severe as being kicked out of the league. Moreover, I don't think the PL would have any appetite to do it, since the ramifications would be too enormous. We could not play in the Championship without making that league bigger (which would cause problems of its own) or kicking another club out of it. That is not happening. And hate us though they do, there's no way the PL will simply want City to go into liquidation leaving millions of fans worldwide unhappy and a big hole in the PL's marketing.

Second, if we have broken the rules, it is only because the rules are bent in themselves. How is an owner to gradually improve their club by investing in it, if said investment is not allowed? FFP is a ludicrous system for which I have zero respect and if our club has done some "creative" accounting to get around it, then that is what was needed to be done. I just hope we've been clever enough to leave no evidence strong enough to lead to the allegations being proven.

You've been brainwashed my friend. It is undeniable that the 'rules' were introduced as a way of the old guard cheating the system themselves, stopping any newly rich clubs from catching them.

They have then used the media to push the narrative that if these old guard created cheating 'rules' are broken, the clubs breaking them would themselves be the ones cheating.

In my opinion, even if the club have used LEGAL accountancy methods to enable us to catch the cretins that set these rules, I will support them to the end, found guilty or not.

The reality is that the club will have stayed on the right side of the law and close enough to the 'rules' to avoid any serious sanctions after all is said and done.

It is interesting though that the old guard and the media have been so relentless and persistent that they have even got blues like you thinking that these corrupt rules set to protect the old guard are in some way legal or morally correct.

The fact that you would actually want our great club to be kicked out of the league based on corrupt rules set to protect the likes of the rags and scousers is astounding.

In the unlikely event of the premier league being successful in enough serious charges to warrant kicking us out of the league then the most likely scenario would be the 18th team would be safe from relegation. The championship would welcome us with open arms, the level of media coverage and additional revenue for the clubs if we had a season in the championship would be welcomed.

The fuckwits writing for BBC Sport can’t even get their simple facts right about us.

This bollocks in the article about Vinny:
The charges against City, who were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group in 2008, relate to a period between 2009 and 2018 - during which the club won all six of its Premier League titles.

Fucking ignorant bellends simply don’t know what they’re writing about.

Coming from the other direction, when the PL have lost the case, what happens next, can we sue the PL,can we find out who has been pushing this anti-City crap all these years .the list of comebacks against, the media, clubs, will be endless. But as usual the club will be gutless.

Likely nothing mate. We just sit and wait for the next offensive after they have regrouped, they will never stop, they have too much money to lose

If we've stayed within 'legal rules' and acted 'within the law', I have no problem with it.

What I'm saying is that if we, or any other club, have broken the rules and/or otherwise cheated their way to success, (even to the extent of simply staying in the PL) I would expect them to be expelled. Cheats should never prosper.

I've not been brainwashed as you suggest. I'm just an honest man who wants to see fair play in the people's game rather than obsessive greed.
I dislike the PL and UEFA with a genuine passion. They've ruined football for me. It doesn't mean that I condone breaking the rules.

Very much this Manchester City are a share holder and a stake holder in the Premier League. The premier league are going after one of their share holders, is it in their interest to wipe the club off the map?
