Tbh I totally disagree. Think Declan would be a fantastic engine to bring into a blatantly slowing midfield. Phillips could and never know might start having some game time and do the same job Rice would offer but that remains to be seen!

@tolmie's hairdoo If Gvardiol is definitely coming, is there any news on who is definitely leaving? I’m assuming Laporte? But not impossible that it could be Ake I guess. Gvardiol and Ake just seems a bit easier to keep happy than Gvardiol and Laporte though. Every time Laporte’s position is under threat he starts to look for the exit instead of fighting.
