PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

A hack is defined as unauthorised access to computer files. Why was the Liverpool hack “no such thing”?
Because the Liverpool thing was an ex City employee using a password he had at City. Should have been sacked by Liverpool but wasn't.

I’m hoping that players take no notice of all this. It might make us more attractive to agents who think there might be a bit of corruption in it for them. Maybe.
I agree, but we can always add release clauses in the event of us being found guilty and being given a punishment that adversely affects the players. - A big fine for the club wouldn't affect them but a severe points deduction might if we go down or miss out on Europe.
There certainly have to be questions asked about the process if the case could drag on for more than a few months.

His paymasters at Sky are terrified that it will happen and that they won't get a piece of the pie, hence the unbalanced reporting. Sky are perfectly happy, however, to bring along monstrosities like The Hundred in cricket. The future of the longer, traditional forms of the game is threatened by Sky's cheerleading of this competition. They're rank, stinking hypocrites.
Never forget that Sky’s original proposal was to broadcast all the matches between a select 5 clubs and no other games at all.

This is the mental thing really. If one or both of United and Liverpool are bought by someone from that part of the world then it's entirely conceivable that they suddenly become allies rather than enemies in the boardroo

I have just read a report on the BBC by Kevin Parker which I felt was weak and submissive. I think he owes the fans an explanation as to whether or not he was misrepresented by BBC Sports. Failing this I think he should resign from his position with the Supporteres Club. Surely we could get somebody better to articulate the current feelings and views of the fans.
He should fuck off from our club, go and take up bowls you weak ****.

It'll be all the national chief football writers rather than the usual beat writers doing match stuff.
It would be lovely if Pep in his opening discussion just made one point "I trust what I have been told by the club, just as I was with the UEFA allegations" and then proceeded to ignore anything else related to the allegations.

The PL is a non runner though isn't it? By the time this shit-storm gets sorted all the top teams will be eating tapas and rimming Barcelona and Real Madrid. Football might have already died it's calling the priest in to give the last rights that's missing.

The court case a month or so back that UEFA won effectively killed the Super League as it was proposed.

The only plausible scenario is a ‘LIV’ style setup which of course nobody so far Has wanted to front the couple of hundred billion to buy the top teams out of their contracts, plus it would be played by mercenary’s straight from the Chinese ‘Super League’ while the court cases rage to get the top names out of their obligations to UEFA to allow them to play in EC & WCs….

Basically it’s a non starter And would require something earth shifting to happen to make it viable or attractive.

Perfect, thanks. That confirms everything I've read from respected sources. So to me the fundamental question is whether the league has more evidence than UEFA did or whether they're just having a slightly mad punt in the hope they get full access to something or something sticks?

Edit: or that they're having to go big on the first charge in order to open up time barred elements where they think there are bigger smoking guns with Mancini and Yaya?? Which seems pretty bold? But then again it all seems quite bold. I can see why Stefan and other people who know what they're talking about were so flabbergasted. I don't think rival fans and the Talksport crew have fully appreciated this yet?
The issue is the hacked emails allude to owner funded sponsorships & certain club costs being farmed out to a third party so they don't appear on our ledgers.

UEFA & The PL are asking for access to all our communications so they can investigate, but City are saying, if you believe we've done something wrong, outline the accusation & tell us exactly what piece of info you require.

UEFA & the PL don't know exactly what it is they're looking for, so City have correctly said "Well you know where to find us when you've got your shit together".

We've NOT refused to cooperate as such, we've seemingly refused to hand over every bit of club paperwork which may or may not be relevant to these accusations.

One major & obvious reason why, is City would be handing over strategic documentation of how we run our club outside of the scope of FFP, which would provide crucial insider info of our club operations to our direct competitors who are also our accusers, & are acting as judge, jury & executioner in the action against us.

Even if we handed over everything & no guilt was found, these same accusers would benefit from knowing exactly how we do what we do, so they can copy us or try to lob a stick into our spokes to stop us. It's corporate espionage, with us committing the espionage against ourselves.

This is why City favour an independent regulator. A body who'll look at all the evidence from a legal standpoint, but who don't have a personal axe to grind with us, & who won't be using our operational strategies to gain a playing advantage over City & to interrupt our normal business flow.

It's a mess! IMHO, the fairest way forward is to stop looking at football as a private members club & look at it as the national sporting institution it is & regulate it properly & independently.

The opposition detest & don't trust us, & we evidently feel the same about them. Why should we be happy with these same people sitting in judgement of us, with no arbitrary body monitoring them to ensure the processes are legal & fair?

It stinks!
