Nottingham Forest (A) | Post Match Thread

I thought we played ok until the final third. We had about 22 shots on target- De Bruyne alone must have missed 4 shots and Foden and Haaland missing easy chances. Their goal was predictable- we’ve seen this game plan so many times but it can only work if we keep missing chances. Why wouldn’t they push forward when they’ve nothing to lose?
i doubt we will drop an easier 2 points this seaso.
 
Refs will all be taking note of that performance…a master stroke of almost completely biased officiating made to look fair and reasonable.


Let them kick fuck out of us for 85 minutes and then started to call foul against the city players giving it back……

One of our best games of the season. We dominated them, they didn't create anything, and we create a lot. Individual mistakes cost us the game, but this os the way to go and there is still plenty of league. If we play like today, we will win it

I actually hate how risk averse we play. I'd rather lose through getting defensively exposed than farting around terrified to turn over possession around the opposition box.

We created several easy, not half chances today, just fluffed them.
 
If we had another playmaker then KDB would be on the bench.

He's overweight and can't run like he used to. His passing has been off for ages now.

We're quickly becoming the Haaland team. If he doesn't score then we struggle for goals.
 
Wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar game at Bournemouth next week 80% possession go a goal up then miss sitter after sitter after sitter and lo and behold Bournemouth 1 shot one goal result 1-1 ..

Can't blame the ref - other than the penalty appeal, which was soft and not booking Aurier which wasn't soft....to be fair, we fucked this one up ourselves.
 
Inability to turn possession into goals. Yo-yo season continues. Let's hope we can solve the problem sooner rather than later.
 
well it’s a different feeling walking away from the ground today than Wednesdays. Performance was probably better overall today, which is the bizarre thing. But, missed chances! Embarrassing decision making from phil at the start of the half. Haaland has to score. Laporte should of also with the header. Really feels like it just isn’t going to be our season this season.

Part of the disconnect today is square pegs in round holes but the fuck up from Phil was shocking.. A simple schoolboy pass needed and he fucks it up.. He crosses and the game’s over
