In those years we often played a 2-5-3 on the ball as Delph or Zinchenko or Cancelo pushed into midfield or Mendy played as a wing back.

On the ball we almost always try and have 4 or 5 in midfield no matter what our defensive formation would suggest the line-up is.

Anyone who thinks that any problems we've had this year are formation related and not pace and intent based is crazy.
