No. The Edelweiss flower was, and to some extent, still is important in Germany. The song was written by two Americans.

I didn't know if your father merely liked the song or had an affinity for the flower and the meaning the German people attach to it and therefore enjoyed the song also.

Eder was a wonderful maverick of a player , playing in the greatest footballing team in my lifetime.

I've seen nobody to match them but this City incarnation.

My first World Cup, I was seven years old and you know they must have been special to remember that team at such an age.
