The BBC | Tim Davie resigns as Director General over Trump documentary edit (p 187)

best was at the end when Simon Jack said stockbrokers would be licking their lips at the removal of the lifetime allowance was being dropped she couldn't shut the show down quickly enough and cut him off
Is she married to one?

"More Canary Wharfs" gave the game away.

Vote Tory to guarantee Singapore on Thames. Anyone who can't afford to live there can commute in HS2 from Birmingham. Everyone else can go fuck themselves.

HS2 will eventually take you from Brum to a location somewhere north of London - not suitable for that commute

I fundamentally disagree with what Lineker has said, he is so out of touch with the real Britain where we have an acute shortage of Housing, Hospital places, Schools, Teachers, Doctors, Nurses and everything else that a simple basic society needs. It would be stupid to blame the immigrants, it is NOT their fault. Furthermore today, we do not have the capacity to take on board any more people.

However if Lineker thinks it is good to add to the problem it is his fundamental human right living in Britain to say so and that should never be taken away provided it is within the law!

Be careful what you wish for with this “the country is full rhetoric”. My wife is an immigrant and a doctor in the NHS. I can assure you that people like her are literally propping the whole system up.

The net contribution of migrant labour is a well-established fact as well as the large number of them that are highly skilled. You can argue about what this does to wages and whether we should be training more (we should) and there are valid discussions to be had there, but taking this line of reasoning in today’s Britain doesn’t leave you with more doctors and teachers for everyone, it leaves you with fewer.

Also, this verbiage is very harmful to those already in this country contributing, they are regularly verbally abused by the more ignorant in society who swallow these sound bites as proof of the evils of immigrants (not an accusation I’m levelling at you).

I can tell you that because of this hostility and because of the government’s ridiculously austere approach to public wages more young skilled workers than ever are wondering why they’re staying here when they can earn double in a country that appreciates them more. This will almost certainly lead to me and my wife leaving the country at some point, and I am also a skilled worker so you lose another. And so is her sister, and her brother… you get the picture.

Important to stress this isn’t to say that what we consider traditionally to be skilled workers (a term I don’t particularly like) are the only ones worthy of your consideration, the exact same is true for all types of work where the demand for employees is being propped up by immigration. I only mentioned skilled work as that’s what you alluded to in your post.

You want an ‘emptier’ country? Sure. You’ll also have a much poorer one.

Woke is ruining everything. My libido for instance. Everything in the world turned to shit when I hit around fourty. I looked around and realised why - woke cnuts were ruining everything. They've made it so I have to get up and pee in the night now. That's when I realised all this stuff I suddenly couldn't stand was connected. It's people literally trying to make me 'woke'.

I mean... I've just seen this:

FrRnlzpXwAEoWn8.jpg

It looked like a nice ordinary automotive repair manual, then I looked closer. Fuck me. What sort of dickhead would force our kids to read this? If that person who wrote this had a spanner I'd smash his face in with it. That's how angry I am these days.

Because of woke. Not my male hormones changing in my fourties. No way. My male hormones are smashing it. I've got so much anger I can't think straight. If I've learned anything about my experience of being a man, that must mean all my man juice is flowing better than ever, I'm more male than I ever was!

Anyway it's racist to say men get angry. They're trying to force this woke delusion on us that sometimes it might have to do with the male menopause and sometimes you can get help or treatment. They just want you in there so they can pressure you into becoming not a real man. I mean... like men can get a women's disease anyway!

funny thing is the independent and unbiased BBC couldn't find space for this footage yet they did show footage from the same chopper of Jeremy Hunt's short drive from Downing Street to the HoC

The guardian produce a story with evidence from respected former BBC employees of how the government used the BBC to control it's narrative. Along with allegations that certain journalists are happy to play along for FOMO from rivals. Yet there's total media silence from Sky and the BBC News channel about it.

Says it all.

Where the fuck can I find a TV news source with integrity any more?

Nowhere since most are owned by billionaires.

Thanks for your valid and reasoned argument.

The only reply I can give is :

I would always welcome legitimate refugees and asylum seekers IF we had the capacity to do so. But the harsh simple truth is we don't.

Our current population has a significant housing crisis, so tell me where will we place all these people? Do we provide non existent housing for them ahead of people of all colours and creeds who are already here and on years long waiting lists?

Our schools are overcrowded with too large class sizes, so how do we propose to provide education when we cannot do the job properly for the existing children and students in the country?

Our Health system is ready to burst and we have massive waiting lists. Who is going to treat these people?

I fully respect and am eternally grateful to the likes of your wife who come here and ply their trade - bur that is a two way street. I'm sure she has benefitted significantly too which is quite right and proper.

However, there are very many chancers coming over as well and I'm afraid that as a consequence of dealing with them there are going to be some innocents affected. Yes we will be guilty of throwing the baby out with the bath water but.... What can we do to stop that?

I come back to my original point where in the here and now and reality of today are we going to accommodate all these people. We simply do not have the capacity.

It's remarkable that every account of this paints Gilligan as the main villain, the person who took David Kelly's words, distorted and exaggerated them and then betrayed him as the source, and yet what happened after he was forced to resign in disgrace?

Boris Johnson. Hired him at the Spectator, brought him into the mayoral press office, took him to Downing Street as a policy adviser.

Easy.
There are currently over 250,000 homes that have been empty long term.
Bring in some legislation to encourage the owners of these properties to bring them to a lettable standard (or sell them to someone who will) and get them in use.

A despicable oaf like Johnson likes to surround himself with despicable people

And has continued to make libellous or misleading statements about other people and areas of law.

But for his criticism of HS2 it is very likely this **** would be working as a spAD in the Home Office.
