How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

I think the lack of replies may be down to knowing this thread is a trap.
It would be like arguing with a Vegan.
A load of effort for nothing and even if people were to supplying a convincing counter argument, i don't think it would change certain peoples minds...
The only thing that would change anybody’s mind is evidence of it working. There is zero for that, on the other hand, the question I have for you is. What would it take for you to realise it’s as bad as I and others said it would be? That evidence is right in front of you. So rather than saying it’s a waste of time posting because it won’t change minds, accept that it’s because you are playing a busted flush and we all know what cards you hold.

If you have an argument, backed by actual evidence of it being a winner, let’s hear it. The bottom line is everybody who thought it would be great ignored economic and social facts. You cannot leave the biggest market in the world and try to replace that with selling a pall at of cheese to Tongo. Or a trade deal with Japan that is 0.007% of the EU. No trade deal with the US. Paperwork strangling trade. Travel and opportunities to be educated abroad. Our influence as a nation fucked. Dropping down the league table of richest nations. 4% of GDP gone which in old money is hundreds of billions.

Then look at the Tories, realising their flagship should never have got off the drawing board, now are going for the racist, invasion of asylum seekers card, in the hope that the stupid of England are so easily manipulated to vote for them they might just win again and thst makes me sick to my fucking stomach.

It’s a disaster, it was an easily foreseen one, it’s now a reality and it will only get worse. And you can take that to any bank you like. Probably better a European one as our influence in the banking sector is also on its arse.

I still have my real passport and until that expires, I won’t be eligible for the fucktard one for a while yet. I blame the Poles and they other foreign cunts, coming over here and doing the work all those trampy white trash morons kept saying where keeping them out of work. Then they left and the same trampy cunts never took the jobs. Don’t tell anyone, but I think that type of chav were just thick and racist with no fucking thought of grafting. But, still, let’s not forget those European hardworking bastards who put us in this shit. Cunts.
Agreed. Those pesky Poles coming over here and taking our jobs - mind you they have form as they did exactly the same in WW2 and took all our fighter pilot’s jobs and helped us win the Battle of Britain. Bastards.

I’ve never forgiven them for that either. What the actual fuck? Some people!

Doubtless the Mail and the Express will be blaming this on the EU, when in fact this is yet another portion of what we voted for in 2016.
You mean there wasn‘t a special clause about freedom of movement and how we brits can wander wherever we want without let or hindrance, waving our little blue passports and insulting foreigners??
I demand a recount!

I got sick and tired of them coming over here and fixing things!

I recall that out of every ‘region’ of the UK, Gibraltar had the highest remain percentage.
After that result came through in 2016, I said to the Council's Chief Exec it would be fascinating if it was a narrow vote to Remain and the Gibraltar vote had swung it. I wish...

Another triumph for the Leavers

‘Biggest trade deal since brexit’ - ‘will add 0.08% to Uk economy’

So… over 3 years after we left EU, and over 6 years since the vote (when trade negotiations should have started)… the biggest trade deal (to replace all the null and void deals previously existing as part of EU) is announced.

I’d guess the rest of the trade deals done in 6+ years are hardly worth the effort, if the biggest will only help with 0.08% growth.

such genius.

It’s a tiny slither of positive news for once so I won’t criticise it but it’s about time and it doesn’t even begin to compensate what we have lost.

It's approximately one fiftieth of what we've lost by fucking up relations with our largest trading partner.
But it's our one fiftieth so let's all pretend it's wonderful.

Any new deal is welcome, I guess, but it’s pretty meaningless if China and South Korea aren’t members, and it could be a long time before they join, if ever. Voting for leave was (pi)voting for poverty in the meantime.
