Liverpool (H) | Post-Match Thread

I’m not a linguistic but i’m sure gakpo means shit in some language somewhere on this earth.
Apparently Gakpo is Afrikaans for “Metal”.

In his case, I reckon it specifically refers to a heavy metal like mercury, given he plays for Klopp, his presence is toxic to everyone around him, he vaporises under high pressure, he’s a poor conductor when things heat up, and his defending could best be described as “liquid”.

Really enjoyed it. Can’t even remember being relaxed playing the dippers. Other than the 5-0 in the centurion season.

Anyways a normal result vs a midtable team who thinks they are responsible for making City not rule the PL.

Frontline and KDB stand out. Great team performance. Let’s make this April our April !

Shame he plays like Metal Mickey

Isn't that why we got Phillips?

Even if that was the best of intentions, it's worked that Stones is incredible in that role.

Conceivably allows us to move Phillips on (not that I want as he and Stones could play in the middle resting Rodri and Bernardo) and allows us to purchase another player... let's say a right back.

It's funny cos when Kompany played there, I was one the few that said he was never a DM in his life! I think the opposite of Stones because his body language is always on the front foot to drive forward or to be more involved in the game.

I think it's about time, no matter what time it's realised his potential.

Injuries is his only worry, but funnily enough I think he'd be less prone to injury in the middle because of how he reads and plays the game.

Since getting in from the game I've seen Richard Keys moaning in no uncertain terms about Pep celebrating in front of Liverpool's subs, Henry Winter criticising the booing of Milner when he came on and the club apologising for some "inappropriate chants" from the home fans. Ffs...we're the most micro analysed club on the planet. Given the shit we've had to take over the years from opposition teams and fans, it's ridiculous.
