Pep and the team proving that conventional fullbacks are overrated.

Stones and Ake are our best starting players in fullback spots and they are centre backs.

Whilst that's true, you miss the point of my comment.

We have a fair few CBs and not enough DMs. So much so, we use Bernardo as one.

In my mind (and one or two others) Stones would be great there and fill in as CB if needed. I'm pretty sure the CBs didn't get dragged all over all agame cos of the complete control of the middle. That level has gone up as Stones joins in the middle as he has the CB and Mid sense of positioning and timing.

I'd love him to make that his own, covering Rodri if need be. That would be a great test of his mid abilities.

What a big win!

We picked up just where we left off and without Erling and Phil, that will make people take notice!

We've had some great wins over them in the last few years, but that in the 2nd half was as a dominating performance you'll ever see.

CITY, CITY, taking the piss!!!

Battered them today even with their 12 players on the field.

Men against boys.

Replace Akanji with Laporte and I don't think we lose another game this season.
Agree, disgusted that they get a player who gets away with a talking to after 3 fouls in the first 7 minutes, then Rodri gets booked for next to nothing, while the nobhead presenter was saying he (the ref) was having a great game.

My grandad used to say he only wanted to pay half price at the turnstiles whoever City were playing as he'd only come to watch one team. That would be especially true against L'pool, what an ugly lot they are with their fouls and scowls and screams and Klopp gnashing his teeth. But today grandad would have paid double to see City alone, the joy they put into their football, a thing of beauty that is.
