Liverpool (H) | Post-Match Thread

I actually almost had a full on scrap with an ex pro football player, who is now a manager for a lower league club… the night before the country went into lock down. Over VVD and TAA. He said VVD was the best CB he’s ever seen in his life and TAA the best RB of all time. I said both were the most over hyped players, I had ever seen in my entire life. VVD is a great talker/organiser. But he was completely protected by 3 DMs. Imagine having 3 Rodri’s in your team. They were never exposed defensively. Now because of their system change, he is exposed, and he’s just as I said, a decent mid table defender. TAA is on another level though, he’s absolutely crap at defending. His reading of the game is at a Sunday league level. He’s got an unbelievable pass, but for me he should be playing attacking midfield for someone like Burnley. I’m not even joking.
Theres no way Vinnie would have that tw*t TTA at Burnley, better suited to Tranmere :-)

Draw one amd lose to us would see them bottle it
Not bothered about a draw, we,ll wipe the floor with them and they,ll crumble. Thats assuming there's no other twists along the way. Main thing is we,ve finally clicked into top gear the last few weeks, perfect for the run in. Fingers, toes, everthing crossed we,ll win the lot.

Seriously, please report the few idiots who want to wreck our reputation, I know our club is from a dodgy area in Moss-Side, so there will always be a few idiots rich enough to give us negative publicity, we don’t need those idiots.
There’s nothing wrong with Moss Side, please don’t stereotype.

A footballing masterclass by the Blues today, I’m not sure I’ve seen one better under Pep …. or seen a Liverpool side embarrassed in such a way?

Haaland doing the Poznan in his box, just topped it off …. whisper it quietly, but the treble is on!!!!
The Alvarez family, about 8 of them, sat in the exec box behind me all did the Poznan, which is something Vinny always refused to do when it was his box.
Does anyone know if Julian has a twin, there’s a guy that looks just like him.

I’ve supported the club all the way in this for being seen to do the right thing but I agree that’s a step too far. There’s nothing “inappropriate” about that chant. The statement plays right into the ****’s hands.
Those responsible for the statement should be tar and feathered or at least sacked.

Yes, I spotted this too. Time wasting at 55 minutes? I don’t think so. I think we were going in search of yet another goal. Our team wasn’t the one that just threw the towel in when they went two one down. What a deluded tosser. Gatkpo should have been booked for simulation, desperate
Didn't we only have two goal kicks second half to waste time on? Because they got nowhere near our goal...

It’s his brother
I think he plays for Abbey Hey

Since getting in from the game I've seen Richard Keys moaning in no uncertain terms about Pep celebrating in front of Liverpool's subs, Henry Winter criticising the booing of Milner when he came on and the club apologising for some "inappropriate chants" from the home fans. Ffs...we're the most micro analysed club on the planet. Given the shit we've had to take over hthe years from opposition teams and fans, it's ridiculous.
I used to like Henry Winter, bit of a smug twat really.

The thing that struck me about the dipper fan stream reactions to the game, was that they acknowledged how good this City side is and how much better than the current Liverpool side?

The quality of the City team has become an accepted fact by fans, pundits and the media. There are still lingering vestiges of City Bingo like the "Emptyhad" and Shearer claiming City has the biggest squad on MoTD, when both proven to be untrue.

@ChicagoBlue OT: So you're an actual pilot? Cool, never progressed beyond PMDG models myself. What planes are you flying?
Currently, 787. We are only qualified to fly one at a time, unless it’s a common type rating, like the 757/767 or 319/320.
During airline career: Boeing 727, 737, 747-400, 757, 767, 787, and Airbus 319/320.

Regardless of what happens, Bernardo will always be a City legend, ESPECIALLY for the sip of coffee midway through the feeble applause they received! :-)
Bernado 'Coffee Cup' Silva will always have a special place in my heart for this. A truly wonderful moment that epitomised what all City fans were thinkin and feeling that day.
