I really don’t understand why posters write things like this without thinking it through.

I learnt the other day that even if your engine is switched off and your sat in the drivers seat with your phone then it can earn the driver a fine.
I'm not condoning any use of a phone while driving but a picture could be taken when the vehicle is stationary...unless of course that picture is taken when the vehicle is in traffic. Anyhow its always worth thinking about....cars and phones do not mix.

Do the old bill not have better things to do then check for people using phones in stationary cars. Well I suppose that might explain how they turn a blind eye to so much else that goes on.

I’ve done nearly a year now and honestly was getting quite bored during the winter, I may look for something a couple of days a week! It’s a big change from being occupied to doing nowt, plus Mrs H retires in July, that’ll drive me (and her) round the bend :-).

And yet you’re allowed to piss about with the car’s “intuitive” iDrive system or equivalent with impunity. Maybe I’m a technophobe but I find negotiating my way through all the menus on those things far more distracting than making a simple phone call.

If the vehicle is "safely parked" and to be absolutely sure the keys are not in the ignition, then it is ok other than that you face a fine

Well know if he's sub on Sat that we want to ease him back in.
I wouldn't be upset at seeing him come off the bench for 30 mins and keep the side unchanged with Alvarez the araña getting another start.
